I happen to think it's a good sign when players are not happy to be hooked. Shows they really care.11

We were saying this after the game yesterday! The twats. It actually gave us time to not rush the corner, get set up properly in the box and Bree a little more time to compose himself and deliver the ball. Glorious. Thanks lads 😃stoneroses19 said:
There's a few Hull fans on BBC complaining about the Hull fans giving Bree grief for corners. Apparently fans in that part of ground do it every game to away players and other Hull fans are fed up with it.O-Randy-Hunt said:
Yea bree done it understandably to the Hull fans for giving him grief about the ball being in the quadrant.Stuart_the_Red said:
If you look a the Charlton highlights reel you can see Bree (bottom left of the screen) making the same "ears" gesture to the stands. Could be towards the Hull fans.ElfsborgAddick said:I'd like to know why he gave it 'the ears' on scoring.ericwatson - "I hope the idiots in the north stand can accept the stupidity of telling every corner taken by the opposition is not in the quadrant, cost hull city 2 points today, they are beyond stupid, it annoys every true supporter in the ground when they do this, wastes time (including when we are behind), please grow up, learn from what happened today and stop doing it, 6th today down to 8th, YOUR FAULT"
Tiger1904 - "Watching the North stand fans doing their time wasting corner routine, then Charlton score, said fans leave the stadium, clowns"3 -
I hope that all of you that went yesterday took time out to explore the magnificence of Hull?

Perhaps this has confirmed that when we are at full strength some of our summer signings might not even be in the matchday squad. Consider the full strength team :
Kaminski
Ramsay, Jones, Bell
Bree, Edwards
Carey, Coventry, Docherty
Godden Olaphe
subs : (It seems these would be regular subs ) Gillesphey, Burke, Kelman, Mannion, Campbell, Leaburn
Then Nibbs,Rankin-Costello, Anderson, Hernandez, Apter
Tough for some....!2 -
And a better goalkeeper than Mike Amman and probably Andy Petterson.ElfsborgAddick said:RedPanda said:I thought we were poor in the second half. A point is great, winning two away games in a few days was always a huge ask.
Steve Brown is on the train drinking and chatting like a normal fan. The team are ahead of us on an LNER train and I hear they're all as friendly (shout out to Nicholas who's with them).A top geezer is Brownie, I have had the good fortune to meet him and am not surprised that nobody has a bad word to say about him.A bloody good footballer as well.6 -
Drove up, arrived around 1:10 pm thought we get a tea and a burger. Not a chance no food stall anywhere . Stadium felt soulless. You could tell the travelling that the team had endured was reflected in yesterday’s performance. (I went to Ipswich and was pretty knackered and I didn’t have to play!) Sloppy play and missed passes abounded, but we toughed it out. Hull needed a mistake from Mac to get off the mark.
A couple of seasons ago we would have capitulated a it would have been how many we loose by.
NJ has really built a streak of grit in this squad and we keep going. Carey is a revelation, everyone else was below par , but as I said I think the travel has really took its toll.
Berry’s equaliser felt like a winner. 7/9 not a bad return. Our travellers kept the support and noise going throughout.
Knobhead of the day must go to the announcer, just embarrassing.9 -

Died of cringe when he was saying good afternoon to every stand just before kick off and was barely getting anything backusetobunkin said:Drove up, arrived around 1:10 pm thought we get a tea and a burger. Not a chance no food stall anywhere . A good mate of mine knows Bezza. I’m gonna message him to try to find out about the celebration. Was a bit odd when you consider how pleased he was at the end and in interviews. He describes Luke Berry as a ‘b tech Frank Lampard’ and I think that’s spot on really. Nice goal scoring option from the bench11

Did hernandez offer anything or on too late?0

Based on the smallest number of involvements Hernandez had, what I liked about him was he played like he knew the value of a result to us all.10

We are above the 3 teams we’ve lost to.6

Whereas having TC on from the start meant we could be on the front foot because of the key attacking/pressing role he plays. Such a shame his finishing is not yet up to scratch, but that is true of all of our forwards and none of them bring what TC does to the side.stonemuse said:
I’d prefer TC and Miles on as subs during the second half, Tanto and Kelman starting.RonnieMoore said:Looking back on the changes made .. would have been better Costello in place of Coventry which would have left Doc and Carey in their normal roles .. Apter for Bree was correct althrough he could have played Burke with Ramsey pushed up on the right which would have allowed Apter to play in place of Campbell , but bringing in Campbell and Leaburn did not work .. could also have played Knibbs in Campbell role and left Olaofe who only played one game up front if he really needed to rest Kelman .. ….i think NJ got away with it yesterdayBut NJ got away with nothing, it was a deserved result at the end of a busy week.
Mind you, if/when he does score goals he will be sold off for a lot of cash.
The lack of goal scoring forwards is a big problem and quite likely we will offload a few underperformers at Xmas in order to buy a Championship level striker, unless Godden comes back firing on all cylinders.. I think maybe Apter and Knibbs should go. Neither seem to fit our set up. I would rather Fullah in the first team squad, who can play in either of their positions and has more talent.8 -
We’ve just spent 4.3M on Apter and Knibbs u dont bin them off after half a season. They haven’t done anything wrong they haven’t even gotten a fair chance the issue is that Bree and Carey have been 2 of our best 3 players this season. Also the solution to throw in an 18yr old with zero league experience and expect him to play like Gallagher is so unrealistic.Southbank said:

Am sure the boys were super tired after battling with Ipswich as was tough side to face and on hull City from behind equaliser is good display and comeback was almost archived but good game it's better than losing the whole game . Well done boys4

I agree. Yet reacted to getting reminded (gently told off?) of where he was, at about 42 seconds.Raith_C_Chattonell said:

Seemed like he suddenly realised that, rather than making a video on his phone with his mates, he was actually in a professional post match interview.
But only took a second or 2 to realise, before he snapped into professional mode.
Well done LB! Keep 'em coming!

They just never give up.
is there where I say the starters Leaburn and TC tired out the defence for the finishers to come on and nick the goals cos it’s always easier in the last half hour when the game opens up 🙄
The graft put in to keep getting these results is beyond .

I think anything more out of this coming season other than very decent consolidation will very much hinge on whether any of our strikers and in that I include Kelman, TC, Leaburn and Olaofe can strike a rich vein of form. Thus far all of them have contributed to the points tally by working hard but none have really looked like bagging goals. If that should change and one or more hits some form and it’s at the right time then we could yet surprise ourselves and a few others. I’ve purposely not included Godden in that because at this point at his age and recovering from injury I think he’s a wild card for us.0
