We now have a squad that doesn't know how to lose! Full of heart and guts. A fantastic 7 days with two tough away games. If NJ can work out how to keep the energy and intensity up for the rest of the season and keep injuries away from key players - who knows?
Great away draw after a tough three games. Well done the Addicks. On to Swansea at home.......6 -
3rd game of the week and it showed, great effort from us considering the respective travelling of both sides.not all games will be beautiful but our week has been.Braziliance said:Considering how grim that game was, delighted with the point5 -
Never say die attitude well done lads. Ok it was scrappy and we were certainly not the best version of ourselves. Heads never dropped and frankly a point was fair.
Late equaliser celebration was wild certainly shut the home fans up7 -
Watched on Charlton TV, complete with audio problems, from Bucharest.
I really didn't see us getting anything after the error leading to the goal and everything was a bit scrappy.
TC is so difficult to rate. I think he had five shots today, one on target, but at least he's getting into the right positions. I really hope he gets a goal soon as it will do him the world of good.
I know Brownie didn't stop talking about it but some of them did look a bit jaded today, especially the defence, apart from Ramsey who I thought was excellent all round. A week to get ready for the next one, and that will also be tough!4 -
Agree with this plus we've got to give the 'backup' players minutes otherwise they'd be no good coming in , in case of an injury to one of the startersChar1t0n said:Clearly Jones saw this game as a bit of a free hit after Tuesday's result. Looking at this starting line-up, clearly he experimented with his best 11. Weeks like this show him who can start 3 games in 8 days.4 -
Swansea play midweek while we get a week off20

Think Jones got away with that today , we deserved a point both teams did not deserve to win the game , Hull were very poor given they were at home .. it just didn’t work Doc and Carey did not understand the roles they were playing .. up front Leaburn and Campbell were poor and only told Jones that they are better on the bench and are not a starting partnership .. it was just dis-jointed , yes we were knackered and mistakes were made .. feel sorry for Apter and Knibbs gives them a start then takes them off .. keep them on there were others worse then these today .. but incredible week and the players deserve 2/3 days off now ..0

We made a lot of mistakes at the back in possession, almost like players were switching off, but I think it’s mental tiredness as much as physical.
Excellent point and now 2 home games on the spin where 6 points is not out the question.7 -
A weary display so delighted with a point. Poor finishing and a costly mistake made me think it was curtains.
Berry on the spot yet again. He's a phenomena!
A very good week all in all.
Slight concern that the reinforcements selected to freshen things up in the first half really didn't.
I've yet to see much from Knibbs that suggests he's anything special. Still looks like he's 3 or 4 weeks behind everyone else. Still!

7 points in 9, game time for Berry, Apter, Tanto, Knibbs, and no suspensions or injuries hopefully with several given some rest.
This is going to be a long season, and that is a three punch combo that will go a long, long way.14 -

Justice indeed ! A superb draw and a magnificent seven points from last 3 games.5 -
Learning curve for those who haven't been regulars, especially Knibbs and Apter, probably harsh to expect them to come straight in and set the place alight but they played their part. Berry's experience to take up a position in the box and finish gets us the point, could do with another experienced player in Godden to help get us over the line when needed. Great week, seven points from two away and one at home, fantastic return.12

I have been struggling to tip my cap recently but said 1-1 on the prediction scores and it was always going to be after the Lord Mayor's show today with another away game in the 3 games in a week slog in the Championship. Nathan made changes as the demands on the players are so great in this league and how he insists on a high work rate.
I didn't watch the game but the usual suspects will slag off either Macca or Knibbs or even both.
We have the Sublime or shit comments and throw the towel in when we aren't fluid but the truth is in many games, teams negate each other and this squad has great character and whether starters or game changers.
Excellent point in an under par game against a team going for their 4th win in a row. The Ipswich 3-0 showed again we won't be near the bottom but we need to wait to see what our ceiling is with this squad.
6th place is fantastic after a dozen games and we are over achieving; long may it last.

Surely if we keep getting results the back up players have to wait their turn, like they did today. How many deserved to keep they’re place?it’s not charity football.WHAddick said:

How much would we give to be 10 points above the relegation zone after 12 games? Nothing because that's exactly where we are. Which is ridiculous given we were one of the favourites to go down.
There are no easy games in the Championship but, equally, there isn't a single game where, on current form, we should be fearful.16 -

They host Man City, let's hope while they're coming down off of that high, they're too distracted to be up for a game against "little" "struggling" Charlton.

no he didn’t, he made the subs that got us a point🤷🏻♂️RonnieMoore said:Think Jones got away with that today , we deserved a point both teams did not deserve to win the game , Hull were very poor given they were at home .. it just didn’t work Doc and Carey did not understand the roles they were playing .. up front Leaburn and Campbell were poor and only told Jones that they are better on the bench and are not a starting partnership .. it was just dis-jointed , yes we were knackered and mistakes were made .. feel sorry for Apter and Knibbs gives them a start then takes them off .. keep them on there were others worse then these today .. but incredible week and the players deserve 2/3 days off now ..6 -
Another gutsy performance, they needed a howler and although they then had a fair few chances it was because we were chasing the game.Delighted with a point there, and should leave the team on a positive to prep for next week.2

Couldn’t give the biggun to NJ so reckon fans copped it instead.TheHerminator said:Can someone explain why bezza was giving it the biggun? Haven’t been able to follow along today due to work. Was he getting pelters?1 -
Was it our fans he was giving it to?Dippenhall said:

Had to calm down a bit before posting after that. A frustrating watch. Could of been 3 nil up in the first half. Sloppy goal to give away by MG. TC the most infuriating player in the last decade. Pushing LJ up front in desperation at the end, it seemed like we had run out of all ideas. But then we got the equaliser. It's forced me to step back and look at the bigger picture. 7 points from 9, from some really tricky games. Brilliant really. The kind of game to forget in a hurry, but a means to an end. Could be a very important point come end of season.1

Another point towards safety and another game where we were absolutely in the contest. I thought we were well worth the point despite looking weary.7 points in a week, 8 points in 5 games with 4 of those being away and a 10 point buffer to relegation after over a quarter of the season. Unbelievable, really.Onwards to back to back games at The Valley where hopefully we can break the record for home wins in a calendar year …
Love this club so much.In 2024 Michael fucking Appleton was our manager. It’s still 2025… quite remarkable.

Good that the Man City game is on Wednesday as well. Nor would extra time go amissChar1t0n said:SheedyCAFC said:Swansea play midweek while we get a week off

No game time for Tanto today, which was a surprise because TC ran out of steam and I felt we could have brought on Tanto to replace him.WattsTheMatter said:7 points in 9, game time for Berry, Apter, Tanto, Knibbs, and no suspensions or injuries hopefully with several given some rest.
