He got off at Eltham. Was glued to his phone for most of the journey so no gossip.
He had a place in Eltham whilst working at CAFC so might still have it.
Saw him in Lidl.Eltham Was buying 10lbs of spuds and an Arc Welder.
There are better ways to cook potatoes than welding them.

That's because that link is for whatever's live on BBC London at the time you click on it, so you would have only got the interview if you were listening at the time. What you actually need is this one, but skip to about 30mins in

I know Charlie Pink Trousers took a lot of stick on here, much of it deserved.
But if he did put in the graft to find us our new owners then he possibly does deserve a bit of credit for the current state of the club.
Probably pocketed a few quid too for his efforts and his 5%.

I might be mis-remembering but didn’t @airmanbrown suggest it wasn’t in fact CM that assembled the consortium
but rather someone else / an agent?

If that's true, wtf did he do to earn 5% of the club and a comfortable wage 🤔

CM was definetly involved in putting the consortium together, thats not even up for debate

Is that an intentional misspelling of definitely, like in Line of Duty to spot something corrupt?

Methven seemed to vanish very quickly from the Club after the annual reports and director salaries were quantified?

I am simply misspelling so that others here may understand, its called being relatable.

I am not saying CM did no wrong but idea that he was not involved in putting the takeover together is wrong. It is seriously wrong, its not even up for debate. Until i see otherwise anytime i see that argument i will just assume there is an agender at play.

    He said himself he wasn't.

The three principals already knew each other (two are brothers in law).

They approached him to, in his words, find a club underperforming, with potential, a good academy and near London.

    CM said that's Charlton.

When the deal collapsed CM suggested other clubs but Brenner said "no, it will come again, that's the club we want".

Admittedly my source for this is dodgy as it was Charlie

CM might well have added the minor investors but Carter got on board via one of Friedman's sons.

    We were definitely underperforming.
Thanks for clarifying what actually happened Henry 👏
