  • The SMT have chosen the last 3 managers. It would be madness to let them have another crack. Lacking both integrity and competence is a deadly combination

    Nailed it.
  • Squirrel face was thrown in at the deep end, IT had no experience and Uncle fed her to the lions.
    This mob..........hahahahaha
  • Without any ITK knowledge whatsoever, I have said all along that we'll end up leaving The Valley.
This was the end game for Dushitelet, I hope I am wrong.
Your wrong.…… talks have taken place and its top of the agenda for the new owners but there no
rush as we have an excellent agreement in place  and still 9/10 years left on the lease...
So when is the time to renegotiate the lease?

I can see a scenario, especially if we continue to flounder at this level where we try to renegotiate the lease and Dychatalet takes the position of asking for a price that is not viable financially for the Club  so effectively the club elects to leave the ground. The club blame unreasonable Duchatalet and he blames the club. The ground stands empty for an appropriate period of time before being handed over to developers.

    Unrealistic?

    Absolutely.
As things stand, The Valley is too big for us now.
This will be a huge issue as the seasons tick past.

Club needs a total shake-up, but that wont happen
It doesn’t need a total shake up, it simply needs leadership, on and off the field.

Worth reading again in full. Among other things, you‘d take out from it that he would be more in the background and with a more limited role than he had at Sunderland, and yet here we are. The whole thing looks like a mess and is enormously depressing, not least because in mid-summer I thought that everyone including Charlie was talking a lot of sense. Then again I also rather assumed that Jones had a plan, and that Ahadme must be pretty damn good…. https://thecharltondossier.com/charlie-methven-exclusive-interview/
Anybody thinking Merhven wasn't calling the shots was deluded.  He bided his time before his "promotion" was made official.

The clown couldn't get Sunderland promoted out of league 1, whilst 35,000 turned up weekly AND they had parachute payments.

Blind Faith and the SMT are not skilled enough to turn things around.

We will go NOWHERE whilst they remain in charge.
Rodwells CV hardly jumps off the page either.
He's had executive roles at numerous clubs and not one of them progressed during his time.

F****g chancer like the rest of them.
It's just a wage to them as many of us have said right from the start, oh & expenses (allegedly) of course. Fair enough everyone has to earn a living but they don't give a shit about us as long as the monthly keeps rolling in to their bank accounts.

And probably getting paid a lot more money than what Alfie should have been getting here.  Oh, Dobson as well.

They get status, a wage and expenses, all for ruining our club.
I take you all back to the ‘tribute’ to Kevin Nolan (no programme piece today will compensate for that), where none of them could be bothered to participate in, including the person who told Brian Cole what he should do just before the crossbar challenge.
MPs have been doing it for the country decades and still get voted back in!

I think you’ll find Charlie is trousering a lot more at Charlton than any MP is public money.
    Or PM for that matter!
  • Who's in charge of the January window?

It'd had better not be the useless twat Scott!

  • Yep, it’s all gone quiet from the SMT now we have relegation form. Gutless leadership! I can see Methven sacking Scott as the scapegoat, to try and protect himself, but they all need to go. I don’t want this lot picking the next manager. Their mere presence is actively persuading any decent managers from  joining us.

Had to read that more than twice. The correct spelling of 'their' in your last sentence completely threw me ;)
    Agree too btw.
  • Who's in charge of the January window?
We probably won’t be partaking in the event on the rationale that the season is done and it’s poor value business in January. The SMT will justify lack of football investment I’m sure.

    Spot on @Braziliance

I do like @Braziliance, he's pretty on the mark with his posts.

Needs to sort his haircut out though :)
    Cheers mate.

Regarding the hair though, it's here to stay. When you get called the aldi aqua man and fat Roman Reigns within the same week, I know I'm on to something. I'm building something special here, hopefully next season things will start clicking more.
Great barnet mate. As someone sitting here with a dome sparser than the valley stands yesterday with more bald patches than the pitch please cherish it.
Thanks mate, that's the plan 😂 33 atm, probably got about 4-5 years left with it if I'm lucky, especially with how Charlton are playing.
  • Someone reckons Methven and Rodwell had a "falling out".
    Has anyone else heard this?

I've heard of falling outs, and big investors withdrawing.

How true it all is, I don't know though, as it's from people I speak to, but they heard it from someone at the club or connected to the club etc.
  • Since Methven was 'officially' made MD we have the following

Methven runs the non football side.
Scott runs the football side, but was then told Rodwell does this. Why do we have this duplication?

Also you have Warwick, is he qualified to be an FD?

Are we paying Lenegan. If yes what is his role?
