What a shocking miss that was from Salah, especially to not keep it on target
Salah's poor form and his disappearing act on the pitch has been compounded by Liverpool making so many changes this season. Some were enforced but as well as having to replace both full backs, bringing in Ekitike, Isak and Wirtz has created issues.

Ekitike has looked a real handful whereas Isak, for club and country and probably due to his "strike" and the protracted nature of his signing, has looked a shadow of his former self and Slot can't seem to find the best position for Wirtz. Liverpool's defence is all over the place and they've now conceded 11 in the PL as opposed to Arsenal's 3.

It's 11 years since Liverpool last lost four on the trot. Those players will all come good, no doubt, but the damage in the PL will be done by that time and they might end up having to concentrate on the CL and the other cups. The PL is Arsenals to lose though if Haaland were to keep banging in the goals then you can't write off City.

I think people are really underestimating City, yes they had a really.poor season by their standards last season but they missed Rodri, who is back, and were still much better in the second half of the season.

    I think they'll win it.
Rodri is out for 1-2 months minimum
But this year they have other players that can step in and cover better than last season. What compounded last season for Man City was KDB also breaking down regularly.

Betfair odds show the league is done … fucking Woolwich rejects have pissed it

Of course it's not done. 3 games ago Liverpool were 5 points clear, now look at them.

Plenty of twists and turns to come, although Arsenal are definitely favourites as they don't look like conceding many goals, which naturally means they won't lose many games.

I dunno, it's going to be very difficult to pull back a three point lead with only 30 games to go.

Arsenal were favourites a few games back , everyone can see Liverpool are ponage and the arse looks solid !
Hopefully Man City can hang on in

If Liverpool lose to Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, it will be the first time they will have lost five games on the bounce for 75 years.
  • I'd probably have been sectioned for saying this a few months ago, but i actually feel like Liverpool need to drop Salah. He has been terrible this season.

I think Slot should consider giving Frimpong a try there, as he plays RW for Holland and definitely can't do any worse than Salah has been doing.

The paychological effect of losing Diogo Jota in such tragic circumstances cannot be underestimated in my opinion.

I've already made peace in my head that Arsenal will win the league at a canter.

Meanwhile, I took the nephew to watch Spurs yesterday.

His record is now P4 W0 D0 L4.  Poor little fella.

For all the moaning about Ange last two seasons, we now seem to have next to no threat going forward.  We seem to be relying on just a long throw now.

Not sure what Frank does about it tbh.

Tel and Odobert look massively out of their depth at PL level.  Tel's confidence looks like it is shot to pieces.

Won only 3 out of the last 18 at home now, just not good enough.

Are West Ham playing in a library? Never heard a premier league ground so quiet.

Fair play to Brentford, cant remember a more one-sided half of football in a long time.  They've been excellent.

    West Ham are proper dogsh*t.

That Brentford away kit is one of the ugliest kits I've ever seen
  • I didn't expect Brentford to do well after they got plundered and looted over the summer. But they're looking solid.

West Ham, however, are total shite.

Watched the full 90 minutes. West Ham with one of the worst PL performances I can remember.

Made Brentford look like 2011/12 Barcelona and should’ve lost by far more.

    They look like relegation fodder

Nuno has a hell of a job keeping them up based on that.

West Ham conceding 18 goals in their first 8 games, they're so easy to play against.

2 of their next 3 games are against newly promoted sides, definite 6 pointers even in October.

When you're at home to one of the lesser lights in the PL and they have 22 shots to your 7 (with 7 on target to your single effort) and more than 40 touches in your box. then you know you are in serious trouble.

Yup. Will be funny when the Met lock 40000 west ham fans in at the final whistle so the Millwall fans can go home first!

I thought West Ham looked like the worst I’ve seen of Charlton ie bottom half L1 level.

For club and country this season:

    Isak -

    Age: 26
    Cost: £125m
    Minutes on pitch: 582
    Goals: 1
    Minutes per goal: 582

    Ekiteke -

    Age: 23
    Cost: £69m
    Minutes on pitch: 716
    Goals: 5
    Minutes per goal: 143

    Woltemade

    Age: 23
    Cost: £69m
    Minutes on pitch: 836
    Goals: 7
    Minutes per goal: 115

Woltemade has actually scored in his last five matches whereas Isak hasn't found the net in his last six games and Ekiteke has only done so twice in his last 12. Newcastle targeted Ekiteke originally and dug their heals in to get the best price for Isak but, perhaps, they will do best out of these deals overall.

They won’t complain though, because they’re all mute, judging from last night.

Went West Ham last night. Bit of football tourism for my kids to tick off a new ground cheaply but surprisingly (if you ignore non-league) my first non-Charlton English game since 1993.

My god are they in trouble. Suspect our section was highly weighted with casuals and tourists, but I don’t think I’ve ever been at a game with less atmosphere.

Was impressed with Brentford. The young Ukrainian in midfield Yehor Yarmliuk I thought was excellent and Henderson kept them ticking over really well.

Really enjoyed watching a game as a neutral. For five of us, 2 adults, 2 U16s, 1 O65 it come to a total of £42. Fantastic value considering we’ve 2 away games already where we’ve been charged £39 adults.

Despite only being about 10k in the ground at the end, still took about 35 mins to get back in Stratford station after queuing. Sod doing that every game.

not quite the same opinion, but its crazy seeing Bradley start, which is fine.. but then when they take him off they put Szoboszlai, i know Frimpong didn't impress early, like Kerkez but surely given a run of games he will do, they don't become bad players over night.

The problem for Salah is now he is playing with other players who all want to score, play that killer ball. In the past they have set up so everyone kind of gets him the chances, now they have a different style and he hasn't adapted to it, no has anyone much lol

It's great to see! come on Arsenal
