Having grumbled about ticket prices and why this is a gold game, on the other thread, i am expecting this could be our biggest attendance so far. Block A in the Curbs stand is an indication. Possibly many Sheff Weds fans in home end. Block H West is an odd one as either not on sale for this match, or sold out.

Yeah. I turned up yesterday and had to shell out £40 for a ticket. I didn't realise the rivalry was so intense that this fixture would be gold category. You lives and learns.

Transpires that block H, West is sold out.. that's a first. Usually less than 10 in there. Suspicious in fact.

Got a feeling about this one, and fear it could all result in massive trouble and maybe pitch invasion when we either take the lead or win, hope i'm wrong but it sounds very suspicious with the sell out in parts of The West and Curbs Stands...🤷‍♂️

3-0 home win. Feeling worryingly confident.

Play our usual game and we’ll win this one.

My worry is we go slightly too expansive and get hit on the counter.

Would really like to see Tanto given a start.

If so I'd imagine the Club would be all over this. The Millwall game was handled in exemplary fashion after all.

I foresee a tough game, but we should be able to bag the three points. Would be great to see Kelman score!

Yes, should be another test today of our crowd safety and security "preparations". Another failure incoming i suspect, especially if West H is full of Wednesday and not community tickets.

Worth bearing in mind it is Red, White & Black day so there will probably be more community tickets than usual. I presume those who take part in the parade get a ticket?

I hope so, but there's also chatter on owls forum indicating home end manoeuvres. Plus H was designed, so I believe, as an overspill block when cheaper home sales were unavailable. Singles only left in lower CE. Think it will need watching at very least

Can anyone confirm please if the Lansdown Mews turnstiles are open before the game - or is it exit only? Thanks

Most of our games are tight and I don’t expect this one to be any different. I wonder if he’ll play Amari Bell on the left, with Ramsey back in his usual position in place of Burke. I think Amari (if he’s fine to start) will offer more going forward. Up front, I suspect he’ll go with Kelman and TC, with Leaburn and Tanto coming off the bench, although there are bound to be changes on Tuesday.

I haven’t seen Wednesday play this season, although their away record is good and they’re showing plenty of fight in adversity. It would be great to get an early goal and then really go after them. A really big game for us and a gilt-edged chance for 3 points that we can’t afford to pass up with two away games coming up next week.

If you're patient enough to wait til just after half time we tend to concede a goal then

This is a game we’ve really got to be taking maximum points from, with all due respect to Sheffield Wednesday.

    Charlton 2-0 Sheffield Wed

Thoroughly competent and capable performance of a mid table club.

    We look forward to Ipswich.
