Think Bell will start tomorrow. Kelman and Tanto for me personally.

Will be a interesting game for sure with the news of a winding up petition and how if affects the playing staff.

As for the Sheff Wed situation, I couldn't give a shit. When we went through it, we had teams rooting for us but these lot weren't one of them and they are just a genuinely scummy bunch. Hope Bannan gets tagged a few times aswell for being a bellend. Would argue the only reason he didnt leave was because of his contract, at his age, he wouldnt get that again anywhere else.

    Charlton 3 - Sheff Wed 1 (Kelman x2, Jones)

Jones hinted that he needed to rotate more, hope we get to see Apter, Ramsay, Hernandez, Tanto start Saturday for a game we’re more likely to dominate and then bring in Bree, Burke, Bell, TC Tuesday and then try nick it 1-0 at Ipswich like we did at Sheffield United

First game of the season for me and for that reason I can't see anything beyond a draw. 0-0.

They are pretty decent away from home so I’m not expecting it to be as easy as some are expecting but they do have injury issues in defence so I’m going for a 2-0 win with TC and Kelman both getting off the mark for the season .

They’ve got a 19 year old kid at CB. Feel like if you asked him who he’d rather face on Saturday between Kelman and Leaburn, then he’d definitely say Kelman. I’d start Leaburn and he can bully him, get plenty of crosses in and Leaburn will score

All depends what type of centre half he is. Maybe he won't fancy a nippy striker up against him.
  • There’s no such thing as an easy game. Wednesday will be up for it and I feel it’s important we score early and definitely first. An early goal could see the confidence flood out of them and we could win at a canter. Don’t think it’ll be that straightforward though. Hard fought 2 - 1

Trouble with that is Leaburn is also easy to tackle/dispossess when he has time on the ball to think.

Going to be a harder game than we think. They have picked up good results here and there.

That said I think we're the sort of team that won't let off the gas. We don't really conceed sloppy goals and we're very workmanlike which is in our favour.

Saying that a team has a key player that if you can stop makes the job far easier is not often correct but in this instance I think it is, stop Bannan and we will be fine but the little git seems to have a hatred of us so Im sure he will be up for the challenge

He wont as I expect to see the usual starting 11after the 2 week break but personally I would start with Leaburn, Kelman and Apter up front for this game

  • After a very good start to the season, we have tailed off a bit of late. Hopefully Jones has regrouped the team and we come out with the confidence we should have against a side, that will hopefully not have a lot of fight in them, but who knows in this league. ?. Still not convinced who are best up front, but the forwards have to start scoring from now on.
I will be watching the game on TV, as we were up in Bexley watching our son and grandson last weekend playing football, and did not fancy another weekend away from home.

I don’t think he’ll change the side at all . I agree we should play Apter but I’d play Tanto ahead of Kelman if we are going to make a change up front .

7 points from last four games. If that's tailing off then we're going to have a very good season. Fair enough Preston we were not good enough, but an away draw and back to back wins before that.

There seems to be tension brewing between Huddersfield boss Lee Grant and Alfie May 😬

The striker has been completely out of the picture for several games now — something clearly isn’t right

Not sure what relevance this has to our game tomorrow? But Alfie May played 90 minutes last night, as he did in their previous 2 games before that. Not sure that is “completely out of the picture”

It’s not tension Lee Grant has just got the same footballing knowledge as Appleton and doesn’t view him as a striker

Got to keep Bannan quiet (why does he wind us up so much?!) so Doc and Cov have to be at their best. If they can do that, then I hope this will be one of our easier fixtures which I'd like to think we will win. But we never, ever make it easy for ourselves. Grinding 1-0 win for the Addicks.

This will likely be a cagey game for sixty minutes or so, but our fitness should then create an advantage. 1-0 Jones to score.

And you fool .. that was taken of Huddersfield site
  • What has Alfie May got to do with Charlton vs Sheff Wed

Especially when there is a dedicated thread where that discussion could very easily be taken to?
