Inflatable mattresses
I don't how you are meant to remove the electric pump, and close the valve without losing the firmness of the mattress

It baffles me how that shrew face country singer became such a global icon.
Good luck to her I guess but back then I really didn't see it coming.0 -

My digital season ticket.
By nice if the scanner read it without me having to move it around for what seems like minutes on end.
What's even more annoying is that it reads my son's digital ticket immediately every time.
I know what you are thinking and I started to think it myself, but my son tried with my one last week and had the same problems as me. Tried his own, boom!
Frankly I am going back to card version next season0 -
Went to Greenwich today but Sidcup line was bus service so got a cab. Got dropped off at the top of the park at Blackheath before noticing it was shut due to the weather.0

When someone contacts me and says……….
”My pal has just got a young Mali (Malinois) and wanted know if you know anyone who could help her with training”
What happened to folk doing research before they buy the dog FFS, I’d wager another dog destined for a sad ending because someone takes on a high prey drive dog and wonders why a walk to the shop once a day isn’t sufficient and it starts to destroy the house or worse out of pure frustration.Specialist training for both owner and dog is required for these working breeds not a a local church hall with good citizens awards.😥5 -

It's not a dog I would consider, as I don't think I would be able to handle it. Sadly looks odds on for re-homing, just not fair on the dog.2 -
Malinois are amazong creatures, so, so clever too much so for their own good sometimes! Sadly as much as I have given homes to rescue dogs and am experienced but out of practice with dog ownership, I would not consider rehoming a Mallinois as much as I adore the breed. They need training from birth almost and like with all breeds, you have to be the boss. And if one of those doesn't want you to be their boss they will win the argument.

There certainly has to be a mutual respect, for example our dogs have zero respect for Mrs TCE they run her ragged.
She feeds them and grooms them, loves and cares for them, yet they will leave the grooming table without being told, stand up or sit down while she attempts to brush them. They shout at her while she brings their scoff or goes downstairs to let them up after feeding, then I get the ultimate in poor dog handling skills in her response.
” THEY DONT DO IT TO YOU! 🤷♂️
Maybe it’s not the dogs then FFS (I’ll deny ever saying that bit 😉)
They are taking the pi55 out of you, her way of dealing with a dog who in her opinion is unresponsive is to get louder. 🤷♂️it might work when she’s addressing me, but not the dogs!
You see it everywhere, the handler recalling their dog calls it once, twice, three times and gets louder each time getting more and more aggressive in tone each time.As Mrs Redmidland taught me a million years ago,
what’s more embarrassing using a high pitched, excited recall voice in public and seeing your dog return or watching your dog disappear over the hills because you haven’t taught it to recall and think throwing f**** in its direction will do the job.Training dogs is simple, people over complicate it.Edited to add……
sadly “tv trainers” showing supposed quick fixes in half hour/one hour programmes aren’t helping, people actually believe a dogs issues can be addressed in the same timeframe.2 -
I know me and you have talked a fair bit in the past about this. If I had a tenner for everything I see base level awful dog ownership habits I could retire.
Dogs off leads with no recall
Dogs that jump up uncontrollably
Owners that scream uselessly at their Dogs
"Its ok he/she's friendly"
Incessant barking
Destruction
Uncontrollable shagging of inanimate objects and limbs
Food aggression

My youngest is autistic and very nervous around dogs (and generally copes badly wuth loud noises, things in her personal space etc as she's over-sensory).
I don't care if they are generally a nice dog, that doesn't mean we want them jumping up at us, barking etc. Piss off and control your dog in a public space.10 -
I remember a brief conversation with someone on the “jumping up” subject.
We’d met each other in the street and Bow was about 12 weeks old, she politely asked if she could say hi to him.
Like all puppies no sooner she paid him some attention he tried to jump up and immediately I corrected him.
The woman told me “it was ok”
To which my is response is “no it’s not ok”
Followed up with, “if you meet him again when he’s a 5 year old 50kg dog will it be ok for him to jump up then”
Sadly, most of us miss out on the best time to train our dogs “when they first walk through the door”
A parent at school told me, Bow walks so nicely through the school yet her “well trained” dog pulls like a train and he’s half Bow’s size, by “well trained” she meant, offers a paw, plays dead etc.Surely the time taken to teach a dog circus tricks could be better used in teaching a dog to walk on a lead? Not jumping is taught to our dogs when they are weeks old, waiting until they are months or years old is repairing the damage, in that time they will have decided to do it their way.
Some of the children we meet appear almost disappointed our dogs don’t do “tricks” but what they can do is mix with people of all ages and abilities in varying establishments, yet to some our dogs are seen as aggressive as portrayed in the media or people’s experiences with poor owners of the same breed.Meet me with my dog in the street and Bowyer will lay at your feet, why because that’s what he’s been taught to do, you can say hi if you wish but either way he’s laying down.6 -

Mechanics.Just got to rely on them telling the truth then whatever they repair seems to not be fully repaired. Had clutch issues on our car and friend of a friend who’s a mechanic said it was more likely something else so he changed that and it was still not working, changed something else and it’s still not working and also there’s now a noise coming from the engine. It’s now at a garage being looked at, most likely the clutch is fucked which I said from the start and could’ve saved myself a couple of hundred quid and two months. 🤬0

In the process of trying to get a mortgage agreement, and was shocked to discover a default on my credit file. It's from a company I've never had an account with. I phoned them up and they said I couldn't log a complaint with them because "You don't have an account with us." Oh, the irony. It's a utilities company that doesn't even serve an area I've ever lived in.Now I have to wait for a full data request (which takes one month) so I can pass it to the governing body (which will take even longer) just to prove this account isn't mine.
I've lost so many hours trying to sort this out and haven't done anything wrong. It's crazy how these companies can make your life a misery without any accountability.5 -
There’s a common misconception that dogs want to meet each other, just like us where there are people we rather not speak too, Dogs are just the same.
I wouldn’t dream of walking up to someone in the street and getting in their face for fear of getting it slapped/punched, why would we assume dogs are different?Yes, like us they are pack animals but also like us there are days when we all just want to be left alone who are we to decide that day would be any different be it our dog or the approaching one!
Normally, dogs have decided if they like each other well before the two humans (who may well be best friends) have got anywhere near each other.
Dogs like people have good days, bad days, maybe unwell or unsociable, yet we make a decision to allow/force our dogs to meet while on leads in the middle of a street. No introduction correct or otherwise, just let them go nose to nose and hope it turns out ok, why?“He’s/shes never done that before” is an often used comment by people after an incident.
But dog was sending out signals, they missed them so the dog dealt with it……..2 - Sponsored links:

Wednesday will be with a home educated group of additional needs little ones, before returning to school later that day for more reading dog work.
Thursday will be meeting a Rainbow group in the evening.
Sunday meeting a man who was beaten in the street for being gay.Still annoyed about posts concerning dogs?
I see and hear negative comments about dogs/my dogs on a daily basis, not one person has ever taken up the invitation to come and see what they do and I dare say you’d be no different.
But the invitation is there if you want it……..0 -
