Jones will end up taking Kelman off at 60 minutes as he always does but really hope he keeps him on he looks sharp.

If we take Kelman off early again I'll be livid

Think today just isn't set up for Campbell. We need to play into Kelman's strengths and get Leaburn or Olaofe up there with him.

Kelman is a good footballer. No doubt about it.

May not score as many as we would like…. But. no striker is scoring 20 goals with how we are set up.

We can win this but we need to cut out the silly off sides that are breaking up so many of our moves and we need to stop them having so many shots, because it's doubtful they be so profligate all match.

TC needs to deliver those kinds of balls into the box for Kelman, but sadly he rarely does.

Thing is with TC, he's very lightweight and gets shaken off the ball far too easily, as opposed to Tanto in that position, very frustrating at times to watch...

There is a good way to stay on the pitch for Kelman, score a goal. But he is looking good, so far. Has been caught offside too many times though.

Kelman with a striking partner would be deadly.
    Apart from against Cambridge.

In a cup game not even the manager particularly cared about?

Guess we should never try it again then!

Kelman looking better every game and Campbell looking worse every game I do hope we see Oloafe or Leaburn start with Charlie at some point soon even just to give Campbell a chance to reset

  • Good first half performance from us against a good Preston team.

Docherty outstanding, Kelman having his best game for us so far and credit to Ramsay for playing in an unfamiliar left back role and keeping Small largely quiet.

Bur the big question as always is where are the goals going to come from?

Seems so obvious to me that part of the reason Kelman is getting better is he's understanding TC's movement better, why change that?

Bit different when he had a second string behind him, not the same

Not bad at all. Bree is in down that right hand side, just need a presence in the box to get on the end of it.

Th game is playing out as most suspected. PNE with a little more going fwd, but we are reasonably comfortable, without causing them much bother either.
Doc is playing well, Not seen much of Carey so far today.

Looks like the shite weather predicted hasn't come to pass.
I think just the 1 goal will win this. It's a proper arm wrestle of a game.

Pretty even, you expect PNE to have more of the ball , we dealt with everything pretty easy .. defenders and keeper again very good unit , Bree the only one who looks like he having trouble out there .. Doc excellent Coventry great supporting alongside , Carey again not really featuring as much as you would like to see .. up top Kelman been very good again pity he can’t be on the end of his own crosses or we would be leading , but there are signings of an understanding between him and Campbell who has done a lot better today but he still not created anything and that’s the issue … he needs to be creating not Kelman and Kelman needs to be on the end … but they are working hard up top. ……. Expect more from Preston as their kicking their fav way so first 20 mins might be edge of your seat stuff but just but if we can see that out we might snatch it !!!!!!!

but we would all take 0-0 now

Really strong and organised as I expect us to be now. Doc has been outstanding.

Great to hear Kelman is well in to this game. Hopefully gets a deserved goal in second half.

Very impressed with Kelman and Docherty today
Crazy to think how Doc looked invisible at times in league one but so involved in the championship. Really good performance so far today.

Tight first half between two clubs at a similar level and who play a similar style.

I would say we’ve maybe edge it by a smidge in terms of moments of quality football, but they’ve had a smidge more penetration over all and got more shots off.

Kerman is having an excellent game outside the box, we just need to fashion that chance needs to fall for him inside the box.

Campbell a bit quieter today, perhaps missing a little support from left back as Ramsay clearly has a specific job (which he’s doing well so far) so isn’t getting forward as much.

Doc has been all the place too, getting through a crazy amount of running, stopping Preston moves and starting Charlton moves.

I didn't realise Jason Euell is on the coaching staff with Preston.

We need a Mark Kinsella or Graham Stuart type of burst from midfield to break this boring Preston offside play...

Jack Payne? Look at our team now and makes you realise how much things have improved recently

Doc been our best player so far this season, and that’s coming from someone who thought he was the weak link in our side last year - maybe championship football just suits him better.

All the talk about what TC doesn’t do… set up for him to score in the second half.
