It was a great day all round. I bought a ticket on Friday night after notice a few spares left. £95 got me a great view and two games (the 3rd place game was on before the main event).

A great atmosphere and even better result.

Congratulations to England. Overall, they have been too good. The tournament has been disapointing to me with only one truly great game to watch which was USA v Australia. In the others, one of the teams have been too dominant. But the fact England are the best in the World by a sizeable margin can't be a critisism.

I do find it hard to fully appreciate what they have done, due to the huge financial advantages we have, through actually funding the sport and giving our girls enormous support compared to the other nations.

Only losing 1 game in last 50 odd is not conducive to growing the sport

Did you not watch Ireland v France???
    I can’t agree I’m afraid.
I’ve watched a few women’s rugby games in my time and I think this tournament saw most teams raise their levels. I’d say the only ones who really disappointed me were Australia……..they should be so much better.

Girls are doing it for themselves (albeit with a lot of financial and structural support of course) ! .. football, rugby, come on cricketers, pull yer socks up, if the Aussies can do it, so can you.

Attended every England game (except USA in Sunderland) with @Len\'s_little_girl.

Great to have followed it and seen a happy ending.

If that French biter had been sent off during the match Ireland would have reached the semis and (either way) had the day out at Twickenham yesterday.
  • Kildunne’s running style reminds me of David Duckham who was always a joy to watch as indeed she is.
