We mean so little to them, this unbothered fella has actually taken the time to put it into words.

I wanted to see what the Sheffield United fans were saying after our win but the only forum I could find, S24SU, was completely unreadable due to junk and clutter on the pages. So glad we've got Charlton Life, head and shoulders above the rest. Thanks guys.
Agreed . Had to shut my Laptop down because of the continuous pop ups .

Looking forward to watching their game with Watford on the box tonight. Fingers crossed for a home defeat which will be good entertainment for a Monday night. Quite happy to admit that. Wonder if millwall fan will re-appear if they win? He's been gloating for years and fucks off as soon as things start to turn.

You all need better ad blockers. Most of it is just them having a meltdown, here are the only comments that mention anything about our performance

Firstly, got to say Charlton played well. Very solid and organized in defence.
The got hard runners in midfield and all their players look composed.
Did all the necessary blocks and niggly fouls to slow the game well.

Very much lacking speed on the break which allowed Charlton to get back and cram the defence every time.

Charlton wanted it more in the last 10 so they did, that’s why they won. They ran their blood to water and were looking to win the game, no where near the technical ability but all the fight so they have.

Charlton looked the most likely to score the last ten minutes. Players need to get fitter.

Charlton were decent, very solid, organised, they used good tactics, sat back easily soaking up our pressure, then waiting patiently for the counter attack.
Thought their winger Tyrese Campbell looked really good.

Suppose it makes it even worse for them because they were drubbed by a poor side 😂

Everyone calling us a "poor side" or "poor team" completely misses the point - and I love it. We are a side that is much, much, MUCH better than the sum of its parts. We are an excellent team with not very many stand-out individuals who fight relentlessly, are fitter than any other Charlton side in recent memory, and know exactly what they need to do.
I said it on the post match thread but what we do is stifle teams to make them look bad. We don’t do anything flashy but it gives the impression we got lucky when it’s actually just a great game plan

You after a promote? Don't you think 3's enough?

Agreed, we are the European team playing against the Americans in the Ryder cup. We are up against better players but our professionalism and team work will see that we will finish away from a relegation fight

They really are a salty bunch. I'll take being the worst side Blackburn have ever played and move happily on with our dominant 3-0 win.

The longer other teams and their fans think we are going to be a pushover for them and an wasy 3 points the better

I LOVE being called a poor side whilst beating established championship teams by 3 goals.

I also love the fact we're doing this with our star striker from last season out injured and with a striker department with only 1 goal between them all so far.

Imagine how POOR we'll look when some of them start firing...

    Nitpick!

I think our players are really pretty good, we've signed so well.

AND they're also better than the sum of their parts

I think the truth of the matter is that outside of the Prem where this stuff is presented on a plate, most football fans don't have the time and energy to follow all the developments at rival clubs. Sure, a lot of fans will be able to name a handful of opposition players and maybe know a bit of their histories, but they're not likely to have any deep insight. Consequently, most opinions will be formed by a quick glance at the league table and a knowledge of how the team fared last season. That won't stop them having opinions though, and the prevalent view of us will be that we must be a 'poor side' because we've just spent several seasons in a comparatively poor division. Ha ha, gotcha.

As a fan of a poor side like Charlton, I have to say I found parts of yesterday boringly comfortable as we never looked in danger of conceding and so there was no jeopardy.
I am not sure what adjective that makes Blackburn given we are so poor.
    🤣

Not forums but a little humorous take on this season's Championship teams by Ipswich
That is quality. Middlesbrough are The Lions whilst Millwall are The Vegan Soccer Players (lol, wtf?). We are The Swords - not bad, that, actually.

Comes with the territory of sports, personally I think it's a huge part of watching and talking about sport in general, everyone has an opinion on clubs, players, managers and tactics. If you ask me it's weird to turn a blind eye to all of it

Their fans are seen as absolutely tragic up here. The NW equivalent of Palace. Blackburn itself is an abject fucking shithole too (although admittedly, Burnley is probably even worse). They're absolutely delusional - believe they have some sort of right to be considered a 'top' club, despite them only rising above mediocrity for a few years because of Jack Walker.

To be fair to them though, if you think we've been a circus backstage for the last fifteen years, you'd be hard pressed to find a worse ownership than the Venkys...

Deep down I think it’s a little bit of an ego stroke to see other fans talking about us after we’ve won. Doubt there’s much trawling through opposition forums after a loss.

Yep. I have to admit after a loss I dont tend to look at other clubs forums. I look for the reaction of their fans after we've scored in the main.

Quite surprised by Blackburns comments, a lot saying we seemed a poor side etc, seems like a bit of sour grapes from the ones saying it.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Blackburn as well weirdly. Fixture I have attended the most, some significant games/memories against them, love their badge, love that they killed Millwalls play off hopes, associate them with our better days in the prem, old school ground.

I usually try and post on other fans forums, done it for a few years (absolutely lost my head when we lost to Shrewsbury in the play-offs years ago) trying to do more so now to plug my vlogs a bit shamelessly and build my channel.

Nothing better than a good win though and reading opposition fans views, makes for great reading.

The way we play and stifle teams makes opposition fans believe they played badly, in reality it was the way Jones has set us up to deny them the ability to be effective.
