Suppose it makes it even worse for them because they were drubbed by a poor side 😂

A poor side sat 7th in the league with one poor performance in 7 matches. Loving being under the radar as "struggling" little plucky Charlton.

Blackburn were shitters today, diving everywhere and had no bottle.  Team in trouble as squabbling amongst themselves in the first half.

    Really quiet fans n'all.

Let's just keep picking up the points quietly and get on with it under the radar.

This is what you get when you make Cantwell your captain!
  • Genuinely curious as to Why people get so fixated about other teams fans and whether they rate us or not?
Think we were genuinely rattled after the Orient comments post play offs and Galbraith
I wasn’t. It’s funnier and a more satisfying win when other fans and managers don’t recognise or understand what we actually did. If they want to think we are shit and don't want to make sure it doesn’t happen again then luckily for us for the next time we meet they are going the wrong way about it. The teams to worry about are the ones that think they have to step up their game when they play us and plan accordingly.

I love it that we are being underestimated. You only have to look at the Derby forum to see that they think they’re going to turn us over . Long may it continue.

I like the fact we've rattled a fair few teams this season and wound their supporters up. Thats what we did last season and its been a long time since we've been a nasty team to play against. Long may it continue!

A Blackburn fan did a Vlog and never showed the goals.Only the Blackburn attacks , just to say the video last about 3 minutes start to finish. Very strange bunch 🤔

I'm surprised they managed to get 3 minutes 😁

Seen that one, half the video was just traveling to the game! 😂

Were currently ranked the 27th best team in England. Just 13 months ago we had finished the season the 60th ranked team in England.

If any of the teams we vanquish moan that we’re a poor team then they really don’t know what “poor” looks like.

"3 nil, on your big day out" never was so apt

Apparently he’d filmed 2 minutes 45 seconds before he realised they weren’t attacking, just going off for half time!! 😉

They had to kick off 4 times, taking up 2 minutes.

Quite surprised by Blackburns comments, a lot saying we seemed a poor side etc, seems like a bit of sour grapes from the ones saying it.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Blackburn as well weirdly. Fixture I have attended the most, some significant games/memories against them, love their badge, love that they killed Millwalls play off hopes, associate them with our better days in the prem, old school ground.

I usually try and post on other fans forums, done it for a few years (absolutely lost my head when we lost to Shrewsbury in the play-offs years ago) trying to do more so now to plug my vlogs a bit shamelessly and build my channel.

Nothing better than a good win though and reading opposition fans views, makes for great reading.
Sour grapes from football fans? You must be kidding! The truth is, they made us look like PSG, but will any other teams?

LOL'd this as a joke but actually, it is an accurate statement.

I was surprised at the Blackburn turnout - best in memory, other than the never to be talked about again match at Wembley.

A lot of teams will just see as a newly promoted side who squeezed up via the play offs and automatically think we're a good opportunity to get 3 points off.

In many ways it's similar to how most PL sides will look at Sunderland this season without considering they've recruited really well, are solid defensively and won't roll over for anyone.
  • We're not a great side to watch but we're well organised and NJ is building a real team spirit. Given our budget and that we've only just been promoted we don't look out of place.

Opposing fans just expect to beat us....

But scorers of great goals. Had last night's been Allison (the punt) to Isak (that sublime first touch) to Gakpo (the dribble) to Wirtz (the lay back) to MacAllister (the visionary chip) to Szoboszlai (the exquisite volleyed finish) then we would be seeing nothing but back-to-back replays of it on Sky and the BBC and a contender for goal of the season.

I disagree, I love everything about watching this team. The controlled aggression, the defensive solidity, the style of play, the passion. Maybe it's been so many years of absolute garbage, but I really enjoy it every time this team steps on the pitch.
I enjoy watching us as a Charlton fan but doubt many neutrals will enthuse about us.
NJ has got us really well organised and gets the best out of players - we don't have the players to play flowing football.

The passion is certainly there and NJ has built a real team spirit.

We undoubtedly have endured years of garage and a lack of passion. It's nice to have a guy in charge with a footballing brain and bucketloads of energy.

Don't give me nightmares! We'd never hear the end of it, if the media darlings pulled that stunt our lads did last night.

Having been with us before it seems that he has an affinity to us and cares, hopefully between Fleming and him we have the next Curbishley and Gritt.

We remind me of the (return to the Valley and beyond) mid 1990s through to early prem years Charlton atm.
Hard working, humble, honest pros, defensively sound, playing to a simple but clear structure, competitive against the odds with wealthier clubs.
It’s often not beautiful, but it’s effective and sort of the Charlton DNA.
Realise after too many years that it’s my preferred style - it’s exciting, it’s fast, we are ‘in’ every game. I’m energised and nervous before and during matches atm because I think we can win, and against big clubs with established, ‘name’ players.

If Bree doesnt get nominated for the Puskas Award it will be an absolute travesty!
