  • Pinch me

If it stays as is, only two teams will have won more games in their first seven than Charlton.
Whilst only Middlesbrough have conceded fewer than us, that QPR result is a real unfair blotch on our defensive record.

Goals win games, Defences win you promotion / titles
  • Bell sublime, Bree quality, loyd needs to be careful on a yellow.
  • Not a moan, but still only 2 goals from open play this season, and 1 of those was a mishit.
Lets hope we can get Charlie on scoresheet in second.
  • No classic but not a bad half.

Bree looks some player. Amazing how he has come from nowhere to suddenly be a key player.

I fear Jones will do well to stay on for another 45 mins.

Great to see Macca back. I've missed his long diagonal balls. Not to mention his goals!

Get a second goal and we will be OK. If we don't, I fear another Millwall could occur.

I trust Jones will not do anything silly but that doesn't stop my feelings of lack of trust for this ref and of course the Blackburn players who will be begging for a second yellow against Jones.
  • The only thing worse than that first half performance was the ref!

Tc and Kelman are not in the game.  The defence is making mistakes and the midfield hanging on.

Jones bound to rip em a new one.

Expect Tanto and Miles on soon.

Hopefully Lloyd can avoid a red from this idiot ref.

AND we are above Smallwall into the bargain...

Yup hope to see olafe and/or Leaburn soon.

Kelman has tried hard but sorry to say just doesn't look like scoring.

  • Kelman working very hard, feeding off scraps. Lloyd needs to be careful, ref useless and can see him giving out another card to Lloyd. Carey having another good game, Bree looks class. TC not really at it. Need to score the next goal.
  • Coventry and Doc have been excellent
Wonder if Jones will stay on after picking up a yellow? That forward is always on the turn and one more clip could see him off. Ramsay maybe to replace?

    Weds 1-1 QPR
  • Teams back out
  • It's still early days but when Bree came on for his debut a couple of weeks back I knew after a very short time he looks like a great addition to the team. Hoping he continues to prove me right on my initial assessment.
  • Convinced Jones will get sent off. Another crap ref.

We look a bit ropey at the back in possession.
  • Blackburn making a potential change at HT
  • The Edwards injury was almost like the tactical Goalkeeper injury, I dont know if Nathan had an opportunity to talk to the squad during the first or second stoppage involving him.

But up until that point Blackburn did look the stronger side (I say that loosely), and were in control of proceedings... We on the other hand looked a bit like we were having to just keep things tight.

One of those occasions though, like what we've seen many times under Nathan, where we've weathered the storm, and almost used it to work out the opposition. As since we've not really dominated, but we've been well deserved of the goal, and have restricted Blackburn to very little.
Definitely no team talk during the first Edwards stoppage as we were lined up to defend a corner.

I don't think there was time during the second either, Josh went down and Macca immediately got ready.

    Thanks for confirming that mate

  • Blackburn keeper wearing a cap second half as he's looking into the setting sun.

Very disappointed it's a baseball-type affair and not a Northern flat cap.
  • Don’t see many keepers wearing a cap these days
  • Stoke 1-1 Norwich
  • Blackburn sub
Sidnei Tavares is on for Ryan Alebiosu
  • Quick throw early on from us, almost sees Carey in, ball played back to Bree whose cross is gathered by the Goalkeeper
  • Blackburn sub
Sidnei Tavares is on for Ryan Alebiosu
Tavares into the middle and Gardner-Hickman to RB

Charlie Wright was big on caps, if I remember correctly (wrightly)
  • Great pressure from Campbell who stops their Defender from allowing the ball from going for a GK, his clearance as a result goes straight to a Charlton player and the pressure remains in their half
  • Started the second half on the front foot which is what we want, and get that second all important goal
  • From what the Blackburn comms are saying the player at RB now is a lot less mobile so hopefully TC can have a run at him
