  • Nice ball from cary, Campbell heads wide from a lot of pressure from their defender

Why isnt that a penalty? - Its the slightest of nudges from the Blackburn player, but he's still in the area

Granted it would be soft, but its still not acceptable
  • Hard work from Kelman releases Bree, excellent cross from Bree, sadly it’s Campbell attacking it and he heads wide under pressure. Heading isn’t Campbell’s strength.
  • Surely Miller should be booked there, he had no chance of getting the ball
  • Macca's FK goes into the wall but TC wins a corner ...
  • How is that not a yellow. Just kicks him as he goes past. Fk edge of box right hand side for us

Why would you book an opposition player?
  • Save by their keeper!!

    And HT whistle blown!

    1-0, and we're worth it.

We’d give away 10 penalties a match if those were punished
  • HT: Charlton Athletic 1-0 Blackburn Rovers
  • HT 1-0
  • A good save prevents it going 2-0 before half time whistle

    1-0 HT
  • Great delivery from TC for Jones to get a header on target but straight at the keepe
  • Ohhhh so close to 2! Great stop.
  • So close to 2

    We'd learn after the first 8 or 9 ...
  • Oh shame that effort from Jones was so close to Goalkeeper, made it an easy height for him to make the save
  • Jones has had so many good headers saved this season how unlucky.

  • Jones heads straight at the GK after a cross from Tyreece “No End Product” Campbell.
  • HT 1-0, that'll do nicely, after a hesitent first 20 minutes, the game opened up after the unfortunate Edwards injury, and Macca getting us the lead with that wonderful header at the far post, more of the same second half as we kick towards The Covered End...COYR
  • After a slow start we look much the better team. A tad too open on the counter but the midfield have tracked back well to thwart breaking moves
  • Not the greatest game I've ever seen, but Bree is quality, his ball for the goal was delicious. We were one good save away from being 2 up there

I’m so glad we signed that left back cover that we desperately needed
Bree, Bell have both played there, we also have Gillesphey, Ramsay, Apter and Rankin-Costello all on the bench today who can come on in other positions to move players across to LWB.
  • The Edwards injury was almost like the tactical Goalkeeper injury, I dont know if Nathan had an opportunity to talk to the squad during the first or second stoppage involving him.

But up until that point Blackburn did look the stronger side (I say that loosely), and were in control of proceedings... We on the other hand looked a bit like we were having to just keep things tight.

One of those occasions though, like what we've seen many times under Nathan, where we've weathered the storm, and almost used it to work out the opposition. As since we've not really dominated, but we've been well deserved of the goal, and have restricted Blackburn to very little.

Great montage of Kinsella goals...how we could do with another one of his kind now...
  • Wow, Bree has a monster cross in him.
Need an early 2nd goal just to make it comfy for us all/
  • Pinch me

If it stays as is, only two teams will have won more games in their first seven than Charlton.
