  • Fun fact... two of the last three Charlton players to score at Wembley, have then scored their first Charlton goal, the next season against Blackburn
    That's a bit obscure FA...🤔

I know Bell's looked class but Macca is a proper set piece threat, and the famous diagonal/ long ball has been missed at times.
  •  996 let the side down. I blaming the Lancashire contingent.

Not a full attendance in the away end?
  • I loved that exchange between Bree and the ref re: the shaving foam. “Oh, you want me to move it to here? Ok mate…….*under his breath* yeah, fuck off.”
  • Up to 8th. One point out of top six. Two points off automatics.
    Above Brum and the circus
  • Up to 8th on the live table.

Settling in for a play off campaign ...

    😉
  • Crowd announcement .. 19,004 with 1400 or so from Lancs

Just randomly remembered Ben Purrington's goal at Ewood Park in 2019/20 to open the scoring that day.

  • 1 point off playoffs, 2 off second 👀
  • Gillesphey also breaks the string of all our goals being scored by summer signings: Knibbs -> Apter -> Carey -> Olaofe -> Gillesphey

Quite poetic that he was the bloke who scored our last goal of last season at Wembley.
Fullah remains our top scorer this season :D
  • Could do with grabbing another before the break

  • Up to 8th place at the moment...
  • Oh that deserved a goal, brilliant spin from Coventry to mug off their man and break into the area, but his cross / shot is gathered by the 'keeper
  • Sadly the oppo keeper did well challenging TC there, getting the ball and not the man.
  • Howay the lad!

    What an impact.

What a delivery from Bree too.
    Great comeback!!

  • Nice pass from Kelman though, maybe a tad too heavy

Really hope Josh Edwards is OK. Not sure what I’ll do with my fan club otherwise.

Thought was a great ball... Campbell stuttered his run for some reason
  • This ref is doing his best to get Rovers back into this game.

He now gives them a FK on halfway AND books Jones.

L Jones booked, more for accumulation of fouls rather than the actual foul
  • Another half chance squandered but more encouraging signs of understanding building in our attack. There’s been some nice runs and players in possession are spotting them.
  • Yellow card for Jones because he touched their player.

I’m so glad we signed that left back cover that we desperately needed
Feel like it's worked out ok so far
