National League Statement: Abandoned Matches
In respect of the abandonment of Eastleigh v Scunthorpe United on Tuesday 2 September, it has been decided that the game is to be replayed in accordance with League Rule 8.37.In respect of the abandonment of Scunthorpe United v Wealdstone on Saturday 6 September, it has been decided that the game is not to be replayed, and the match has been awarded to Scunthorpe United pursuant to League Rule 8.38.Tables will be updated accordingly. Regulations state that while the home club are awarded three points, goals for and against are not to be added.0 -
Seems a bit of a ridiculous decision from the National League
The decision for the Wealdstone match was the correct one, as their players basically refused to go back out on to the field, when the referee asked them to... and it wasn't for that terrible an injury, if you compare it to the Erikson one for example.
The Eastleigh game though... that got abandoned in the 97th minute!!
Wealdstone have had their Goal Difference improved by refusing to play as well, because the game won't be restarted it'll go down as a 0-0 match (Scunthorpe were 2-1 up), but Scunthorpe get the 3-pts.
Sneaky way to avoid having your Goal Difference damaged in the future if you're losing 7-03 -
Disappointing at Slough tonight with Welling losing a player after 8 mins.
Slough player /manager went down like a sack of shit in a very innocuous challenge.
He openly turned to the crowd and agreed it was never a red.
Record time getting home. Left ground at 9.50, in the door at Sidcup 11.10.1 -

Got a fast GWR from Slough to Paddington.
After getting knocked out the FA Cup, there’s nothing like a happy ending1 -
Phoenix sacked their Manager, relegated after appointing him last season, new owners may have deep pockets but haven’t a clue how to run a football club2

Lyle Taylor scores hat trick on his first full debut for Chelmsford1
-
This guy is getting a fair bit of stick online for turning up to games dressed like he's the star player for Real Madrid...........not Morecambe.

Dressed like he's still at Arsenal. What a weird career he's had from being the next big Arsenal wonder kid to now ending up at Morecambe via some underwhelming EFL loan spells and a stint in Spain.0 -
His brother's career has gone in the other direction, working his way up from non league.0

nice win for welling today. can see Peter Taylor getting sacked.
Welling were due a decent win, and after the second went in, could have been more than 4
Missed one of the better afternoons over there DM2 -

Went to Beckenham Town v Hendon in the FA Trophy yesterday.
First visit and irrespective of the great result for Hendon, I thought Beckenham have a decent ground, an excellent pitch and some very nice people. I hope they can pick their season up from now on because their second half collapse will concern them. Beckenham were winning 2-1 at HT but the wind picked up second half to Hendon's advantage and it turned round for a 5-2 Hendon win.1 -
Hendon drawn away to Dulwich in the next round on Sat 4th Oct (Charlton away to Preston that day).
That's a fantastic draw for Hendon and Dulwich have a huge chance to progress.0 -
A few years ago a players for Bath City had a horrendous head injury after "smashing" into the hoardings. Eventually the player "recovered" and returned to playing but I believe soon after had to retire. Sadly there is a repetition of history and a former Arsenal U21 Billy Vigar is in an induced coma after suffering a head injury during a match for his club Chichester City.

Unless I am mistaken, think the match was abandoned following that injury.
Regarding the Bath one, I remember being at their next home game against Welling.
Think the Welling owners and supporters threw a fair few quid in that day.
Days like that bring out the decency in non league football.1 -
oh and @DaveMehmet, more time in the gym and less at PVR please mate 😀1

Welling v Ramsgate for me last night. Mad red card decision from the ref but doesn't take away from another poor defensive showing from Wings. One step forward, 3 steps back.
Ryan Inniss also got the winner for Forest Green last night. Couldn't believe it when I saw the game had two red cards and he didn't get one of them0 -
What has happened to Welling? I was hoping the drop down a league might allow the club to stabilise somewhat, buy they just seem to be on a permanent nose dive and will end up in the SCEFL at this rate.0
