RIP Robert Redford

Has passed away at the age of 89.

Wonderful actor in some of my all time favourite films - The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and All the Presidents men to name a few.

RIP Robert

Just saw the announcement on the BBC lunchtime news. Such sad news. Appeared in some of my most favourite films....

    The Sting
    Butch Cassidy
    All the Presidents men

and one of his most recent ones,  All is Lost, where he is alone on a boat out at sea.

    RIP.

I’m 43 so many of his classics were before my time, but he starred in The Last Castle with James Gandolfini and Mark Ruffalo which I thought was a great film

    RIP
  • Noooo! An absolute favourite of mine in some incredible films. I was gutted when Paul Newman passed away and equally gutted now. RIP to a true legend

Three days of the Condor was another cracker of his, and Brubaker was good too.
  • Jeremiah Johnson was another favourite of mine, as well as those mentioned.
    RIP

One of the best looking male actors to ever walk the earth. Add his incredible acting capabilities and charisma into the mix and we lose an absolute 🌟 of the acting world. Will always be fondly remembered by those who have seen his work. If you haven’t- recommend a watch.

RIP Ordinary Bob! (That nickname was so tongue in cheek…)

Jesus Christ, absolutely right, I was thinking of him and Paul in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid when I sourced the image and not only searched incorrectly but was stupid enough to post it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I always admired him in films.
Then Indecent Proposal came along and it made me look at him differently.
Hollywood great that lived a long life fair play.
    RIP.

Some films age or are of their time, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a timeless classic.  RIP

The Sting also - one of the very best endings of any film. I remember seeing it at the cinema when it came out and had no previous knowledge of the ending. There were gasps and "oh shit" from the audience.
The more I think about RR the more I realise what an absolute icon he was, and so good with Paul Newman, another icon.
