A quite appalling performance - feel sorry for the spectators who will have paid ODI prices to watch what will turn out to be not much more than a one sided T20.
Would rather see James Coles developed than Bethall but feels like Bethall is the can't do anything wrong golden child.
Stokes and the management team have identified him as someone they believe will develop into something special. Personally I have my doubts . But as Addick Addict says the lack of proper cricket he has played means he hasn't had the right preparation so far.

Yeah Bethall needs to be playing regular cricket for Warwickshire instead of jetting off to the IPL or carrying drinks.
Since the first game that was played in The Hundred, England have had 52 ODI's of which they've won 22 and lost 30.
That's a shocking record in itself but becomes even more so when one considers that 13 of those victories have come against four of the lowest ranked ODI sides in the world namely Netherlands, Ireland, Bangladesh and West Indies. Against the seven top ranked sides the record becomes W9-L25.
Full record (W-L)
Afghanistan (0-2) Australia (2-8) Bangladesh (3-1) India (1-6) Ireland (1-0) Netherlands (4-0) New Zealand (3-2) Pakistan (1-0) South Africa (2-6) Sri Lanka (0-1) West Indies (5-4)
In the 5 years prior to The Hundred, our record was W56-L21. It really isn't rocket science to work out how and why this has happened.
As someone who hates The Hundred: good. Hope this happens in every game
I hate the Hundred too! What's you reasoning here?
Why is Surrey's T20 QF on Wednesday not Thurs? Because the next ENG ODI is Thurs? The way ENG are playing they could fit both in on the same day, even with a 1pm start1
Why do they keep selecting Bethell? He's clearly not ready. Maybe pick him against Ireland if they want to develop him
He's been selected as captain for the T20s. He's only had 26 List A innings in his career and 40 First Class innings. The ECB have prevented him all summer from playing either code but then wonder why he doesn't go out there and look the part with him having played nothing but 100/120 ball cricket. Talk about "mismanaged".
Looks like the lack of cricket has had a disastrous impact on his game!

Maybe he needs to prove how good he is in and in form BEFORE he turns out for ENG
Why cant we find any decent one day players? There must be some decent up and coming youngsters to pick from all the counties we have. Our one day record is abysmal and would rather rip it up and start again.Id rather rebuild and be shit for a few years than keep playing the same players and getting embarrassed. We are below Afghanistan in the ranking and have played more games than them.Surely we cant get any worse.

Must have been a rain delay, good to see play about to get underway.
Sam Curran should be batting at 6, and then captaining us against Ireland.
Personally I have my doubts .
