Fed up with all the Driving Schools with instructors who take their students into Supermarket car parks to learn how to park!  I appreciate that people have to learn but sometimes there are 5 or 6 learners slowing parking or pulling at a snail's pace.  When I learned (admittedly a long time ago) we used quiet side streets. They must still exist!
Parking in a bay is one of the manoeuvres learners could be asked to do during their test, so they need to practice, and it makes sense for an instructor to choose a large carpark where there are likely to be spaces available. Doesn't mean it's not annoying, though.

Just went into boots pharmacy at bluewater and asked if they had anything for a water infection after spending all night painfully pissing. Was told unfortunately we can only treat women 🙄 just because I have a bit of a beard they shouldn't be assuming my gender in this day and age.

Should of said "well good, I came to the right place then.."

Anyway why can they only treat women? Is it a biological thing where the product they have can only help those of the female sex?
Or is it like so many nowadays the policy of Boots is to not help men and to let them suffer?!

No idea. Wife seems to think maybe because its more common in females. Women in boots said I have to see a doctor because I'm male.
  • And there we are back to 2 biological sexes

    Cranberry juice might help.

Yep that's the plan for the day. Plenty of water and cranberry juice 👍

It's not a decision made by Boots, it's a rule for all pharmacies, they are only allowed to prescribe medication for women with uncomplicated urinary tract infections. Presumably urinary problems in men need more investigation by a clinician.

  • I really want to be prescribed urinary medication by a pharmacist rather than a Dr, but government policy says thats not possible. I wonder what I can do...... 🤔

    Google says:

    When to See a Doctor
    • It is essential for both men and women to see a doctor if they suspect they have cystitis or a urinary tract infection (UTI), especially for men, as it requires a more thorough investigation.

Yeah well if that's the case. I was kinda joking with the making men suffer comment though.

Oddly I've got some urinary infection medication from a few months back. didn't get all used.

I had to explain the symptoms to a GP on the phone and they put the prescription through to the pharmacist. Not sure that's possible to do on the weekend or in the evenings. So not sure that's much help for @O-Randy-Hunt
  • Taking ten minutes to log into a stream and then not been sure if the number in the corner is the score or the timer. 😖

Lovely, I’ll wait 7 days for an appointment by which time the infections passed

People who are clearly retired, doing a weekly shop on a Sunday morning. The last thing I'll be doing on a Sunday morning in retirement, God willing, is walk round Sainsbury's
See also people who are retired and go on holiday to sunny places in August. More puzzling than annoying TBF...

Us old retired folk have better things to do during week, like going out and enjoying ourselves unhindered by patronising young folk who are working. Unless of course they are taking up all the seats in the coffee shop with their laptops, that is bloody annoying.
    Point taken.

Yeah totally agree about people with laptops, but my gripe would be having them set up in the corner of the pub, which seems quite popular. 🤙

You can’t beat a pint of Carling and a bag of pork scratchings while watching a bit of Frankie in the Dog and Duck.

Had a bloke in my local a few weeks ago, as described above, laptop set up and going full on Trigger Happy TV walking round the bar area shouting down his phone, every 5 minutes.
