Decent cross that from Rankin-Costello.0

Oooh! Knibbs nearly trips over the ball, gets it to Tanto, on to Fullah, back to JRC and his cross is headed wide by Anderson.0

Bored mate. Not wound upgolfaddick said:

You’re never happy man. It’s so incredibly boringgolfaddick said:
Well you wont get from me. Even if we go on to win I'm still not happy. We look a shambles of a side & you'd think we were the League 2 team.TheHerminator said:Excited for the immediate CL pivot to “knew we’d get back in this, some real talent out there” type chat incoming
Only bright spark was the goal. Kelman will get pelters but he's hardly had a chance - 1 shot from a tight angle that he was unlikely to score from & another half chance on the turn.
Look at their first goal - 4 or 5 crisp passes from inside out half & then a cut back to a player who just needed to finish from 6 yards out.
When did we last do that ?
I like winding you up. Think I'll do it more0 -
Ooo that should have been the equaliser, good cross1

So the ball just magically teleported itself into the box for him to score with then?golfaddick said:
The build up play you fool.ForeverAddickted said:
Matty Godden basically gained a reputation and a nickname for scoring inside the six yard box last season.golfaddick said:

But everyone knows if a young player isn’t up to it straight away they never will be…Bailey said:
And that's the reason why we are playing Zach so he can learn.killerandflash said:Awful 40 minutes. Defensively weak, no creativity and the only forward passes were punts forward
The changes after AMB's life threatening injury improved things, as it got Fullah on the ball in a more central position.
I still think Zach is a good footballer, but playing in the middle of the 3, you've got to be a hardcore, strong and dominant centre back, and he isn't that yet.2 -
Cambridge player down in our box clutching his head, so ref stops play.0

People do care. They just don't want to look like the are on the side of the "moaners". So will say it doesn't matter. If they really didnt care they wouldn't be watching the match or posting on here.BFG94 said:Don’t understand this ‘cup doesn’t matter’ attitude. Would love to get a big club at the Valley in the third round.3 -

I’m genuinely not fussed about a cup run but I’m interested to see how our fringe players do, that’s a valid reason to watchgolfaddick said:

The 3rd physio who just came on looks like someone’s nan won a competition! Proper school dinner lady/nurse vibe…..5

Have ptsd flashbacks of last season and maccas aimless long balls against Cambridge1

Not sure. I will ask the question. I have a feeling it may have been down to budgets rather than ability. And clearly the lad has something if Charlton were keen to pick him up. My boy said "he'll be near the 1st team soon", but you have to take that with a pinch of salt clearly! Although...here he is on the bench 😃Scoham said:
Do you know if Cambridge released him or offered him a new deal?YTS1978 said:
My eldest boy is friends with T-EF and he rates him very very highly. Hoping he can get on the pitch tonight.Scoham said:Interesting team, a test for Hobden as we saw with Rylah in the last cup game. A natural defender rather than a winger like Rylah, plays CB/RB/RWB in the u21s, a real battler, solid and reliable, grabs the odd goal.
AMB
Laq Zach Gillesphey
Hobden Fullah
Anderson JRC
Knibbs
Kelman Tanto
Subs for those who don’t know:
Reuben Reid - winger/striker, very exciting, pace, tricks and a good size, only 17. I said we might see a cup cameo from him this season, nice to see it could be as soon as tonight.
Keenan Gough - CB/DM/CM, like Hobden a solid reliable player, bit of an all rounder. Captained at u18 and u21 level.
Paris Lock - winger, son of Chris, signed after leaving Wimbledon this summer.
Ty Ewens-Findlay - CB, signed after leaving Cambridge Utd this summer so could make his debut vs his old club.
Edit. As in my boy said 1st team as in the REAL first team league fixtures1 -

What you're seeing is a lab experiment into gene therapy gone wrong.8 -
Much better play and good anticipation from Mitchell to win the ball back in the first place0
-
Looks like the 4-3-1-2 has continued, Mitchell LB and Fullah in midfield.1

Bit of a pass to the keeper there. Wonder if it was worth teeing up Tanto instead?0
-
We come down the left, Kelman cuts back to Knibbs but the keeper saves the low shot easily1
-
Nice build up play from Kelman0

3-10
-
3-1.0
-
I know they're mostly young, but defense is very poor all round.3
-
The bad defending returns0
-
Weak as piss0
