  • Not new, but new to me.
I'm currently watching The Sopranos, every episode available on Sky Showcase (as well as Game of Thrones).
Lucky you. I wish that I had the gumption to watch it again.

…….the Sopranos that is……not that cobblers about dragons.
  • Just finished watching the sopranos a couple of weeks ago, very good. Will defintely rewatch at some point. Makes me want to rewatch The Wire to compare.
  • Watched King and conqueror on the beeb last night. Not overly convinced.

I'm currently watching The Sopranos, every episode available on Sky Showcase (as well as Game of Thrones).
Right up there as one of the greatest. I've seen it 3 or 4 times and will rewatch again every 5 years orvso
  • Anyone been watching Alien: Earth? Thought the first 2 and a half episodes were proper garbage, then the last half of episode 3 was much better. If it had continued in the same vein for the rest of that episode I mightve binned it off but that last half an episode has bought it some time!

I'm trying really hard with it but I'm struggling. The acting is good especially Timothy Olyphant and the lead girl

  • I watched that Jussie Smollett documentary on Netflix last night. I cannot understand how anybody could believe that he didn't make the whole thing up.
  • I've also been watching Curb Your Enthusiasm for the first time, takes me a while to get through it all so been slowly chipping away at it for ages. The episodes with Michael J Fox and Ricky Gervais were particular standouts but all of them are gold in one way or another.

If you like that but haven't watched Seinfeld I'd give that a go also.
  • Just like the first series,  the second series of the French production Dark Hearts on BBC4 is magnificent.

It is all about elite French troops fighting ISIS in Iraq.

Fortunately a different world to which most of us live in.
  • North Shore - not bad
Hostage - not sure (2 episodes left)

Cheers, started this today (S1) and it looks good.
  • Watched 2 episodes of Hostage on Netflix last night. Trust me, don't bother, It's awful.
Glad it wasn't just me then. I'd watched ep. 1 last night because Lewis Goodall seemed to like it despite questioning some plot lines. Some? the whole thing is a steaming pile of turd. The British PM character has about as much credibility as a Matt Southall transfer window. "European" political drama for the folks in Kansas City.

Never mind; thanks @bolloxbolder for the heads up on S2 of Dark Hearts. Now that's serious stuff.

43 years after it first aired, you have some catching up to do. Great series. Try 'Frasier' when you're done.

Not really any need. Started rewatching Frasier after heart surgery in 2023 and must know all the lines off by heart now. Does Mrs Idle's head in.
Sadly Cheers (which I watched first time round) is on just a bit too early to get me out of bed.

Believe it was an earlier recommendation on here - Murderbot. Think a mash-up of Blake’s Seven, Severance and Red Dwarf.

Yes, I’m onto Series 4 and it’s definitely in my top 5 of all time.
If anyone likes gangster movies/films etc it’s must see.
All episodes available on Sky Showcase.

    My favourite show! Bloody superb
  • Started rewatching Stranger Things so I’m fresh for the big finale at the end of the year.
Bloody hell it’s excellent even 2nd time around 🤩

That’s exactly what I was doing! First time I wished I had more to iron so I could watch another episode 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The second season of Bond tv series Road to a Million is on Amazon.
An absolute fortune spent on it and it’s good.
Race Across The World with swagger

    ⚠️Spoiler Alert ⚠️

I liked the final episode of Dexter: Resurrection.

Edit: I just looked at the title. Says no spoilers.

    Slight dab of info deleted

Anyone else tried 'The Paper' yet?  Follow up to The US Office, where the film crew try to return 20 years later, but dunder miflin is gone, sold to a newspaper empire.  The film crew follow the newspaper instead.

Love TIm Key (a main character) and Domnall Gleeson, but first episode was just OK.  Will try to perservere as the showrunner (Greg Daniels) has been responsible for some of the best sitcoms of the last 25 years.

I'm really excited to watch this. The US Office took a while to get going so hope this is given time to hit its stride too
  • Anyone else watch the new Field of Dreams last night?
I thought it was great. Especially that there’s now a girls team too.
The original Preston lads seem to have come on leaps and bounds.
    Love Freddie 🤩

4 episodes in. It gets better as it goes along. And this is coming from someone who wasn’t a huge fan of the American Office

    Agree

I'm 3 episodes in, really warming to it and had a good few laughs. I really like how they have linked the 2 different shows as well.
  • Also 4 in now and it is getting better.  Enjoying Oscars annoynace at the film crew and building a nice set of characters.  The italian woman is very grating, but its kind of the point (but a bit of a stereotype)

  • Just watched all the 'I fought the law' episodes. When Sheridan Smith is good (as she is in this) she is simply the best.
