True but at his stage of his career he might want games. I don’t blame him if he does.SheedyCAFC said:Wouldn’t be a surprise but would be a bit of a shame if Berry does go, we do have a young squad and he’s 33 and very experienced so probably a good character to have around the place at the very worst0 -
Think Berry is still held in high regard at Luton. When Luton were on TV a few weeks ago I noticed a Luke Berry banner!1
-
Jones will only let Berry go if he's absolutely adamant on the move, he's one where his on the pitch influence isn't anywhere near as great as his influence in training and in the team setting4
-
No, but NJ is making the squad speak Japanese.ShootersHillGuru said:If it’s true and Fukuda is incoming at least he is fully match fit. Might take a week or two of adjustment but he’s ready in terms of fitness. I wonder if he speaks English ?
That's the reason why Tracey Leaburn left. She said it was a step to far forcing Miles to speak Japanese.4 -
I’d rather sign Fukuda on a permanent than sign Rak-Sakyi on loan. Would imagine that is the clubs view too20
-
It would be stupid to let a season pro like Berry, who had a decent scoring record, leave & replace him with a youngster with no experience.thenewbie said:
I think Fullah showing such promise has changed that situation - he has a genuine chance of contention, off the bench at least - which means Berry is probably out on the verges now.NabySarr said:
I still think he could be useful from the bench if we need a goal. Scoring goals is our biggest challenge so I’d maybe want to keep him around. But also wouldn’t be that against him leaving now I’ve seen what Carey can do and now that Fullah is coming throughChunes said:
I can see that, given he's now third choice in that 10 role.RonnieMoore said:Luke Berry linked with Luton on loan this morning ??
I know I'm relatively alone in this, but I don't think he was that great last season, which may be why we brought in two players. And he'll offer less in the Champ than L1.8 -
I’m confident that we would have scored on Saturday had Godden or Berry been available off the bench. Most of the squad can learn from those two, and that’s why I’d like to keep Berry.26
-
Neither of them are really replacing anybody though. Carey and Knibbs both play there, they will be the main pair in rotation for that spot. Berry and Fullah would both be competing to be the third choice at best. Berry probably wants to be playing as much as possible, Fullah still can learn and develop purely from training/interacting with the senior squad.golfaddick said:

We don't need both, and Berry is probably the more likely to get a substantive move.1 -
Surely we need a LWB and RWB in reserve? I can't see how we prioritise one over the other.3

Berry was available but didn’t make the bench and Fullah did, does add weight to the idea that he might be offThemightyath2 said:I’m confident that we would have scored on Saturday had Godden or Berry been available off the bench. Most of the squad can learn from those two, and that’s why I’d like to keep Berry.3 -

Berry out, JRS and Fakuda in would be a brilliant end to the window probably the best window in our history13
-
Ideally yes but I think RWB is the priority as we have Bell who can play LWB with Gillesphey at LCB. Moving Ramsay is a similar option on the right but he's done so well at RCB that it would weaken us more in my opinion._uptheaddicks said:Surely we need a LWB and RWB in reserve? You could put forward the same Ramsay argument for Bell. We're nearer to a RWB fill-in with Rankin-Costello than we have a LWB. It's going to be interesting!0

It's come from Ronnie Moore...MarcusH26 said:Where's the Berry rumour come from? Wouldn't be surprised if he did move on , I'd like to see long term how Apter looks as a 10 if we can bring in an RWB1 -
Was hoping someone would provide a FLW/Football Insider or even a Luton forum link (their forum is a mess to navigate)Callumcafc said:

It came from a Luton site on instragram .. with supporters that commented 100% in favour said they never replaced himCallumcafc said:

Nothing will beat swooping in and grabbing Rod Fanni just before the window shut.AberystwythAddick said:Berry out, JRS and Fakuda in would be a brilliant end to the window probably the best window in our history8 -
Depends how highly the club rate that youngster.golfaddick said:

It would also be stupid to not give a young player they rate highly and feel is ready a chance.2 -

I love when there is a transfer rumour and King Cawley goes quiet…1

That must have been some shot from knibbs 🤔killerandflash said:
Carey and Knibbs play in the same position as Berry, Knibbs has already scored from the benchNabySarr said:

We're not scoring enough goals atm so letting a recognised scorer from midfield leave is pretty dumb imo.Scoham said:

Probably won’t even start over Knibbs JRC and Anderson. Like Berry but when he’s 3rd choice CAM on big wages and will likely be going end of the season makes sense to potentially move him onSteveACS said:

Berry currently out injured for weeks, won’t be leaving.9
