North Greenwich tube to The Valley

Thats a really good shoutPortch said:I usually get a lime bike/scooter from the Valley to North Greenwich station, they have them parked up along woolwich road or outside the station. It is the quickest way out of Charlton if you miss the train and queues build up.0 -
Leave early and enjoy the river walk. Good for the soul.1

Whenever I use the tube instead of the train to go to the match then probably 9 times out of 10 I will walk to and from the ground. It’s around a 30 - 35 minute stroll that gives you the option of stopping off at a couple of pubs. It definitely doesn’t seem like it’s a two mile distance, possibly because the landscape effectively breaks into separate sections so visually you are doing a series of shorter walks rather than one big one.0

45 min max not including a stop off in the Pilot.1

Tube from Morden to London Bridge - onto North Greenwich - walk to the ground- piece of piss0

Wouldn't it be far quicker to get a train from London Bridge to Charlton?Bod said:Tube from Morden to London Bridge - onto North Greenwich - walk to the ground- piece of piss0 -

I've done that many times too but I try and avoid the build up of people at London Bridge and love the 'scenic' walk from the o2 to The Valley😂2

Inspired by this thread I walked back to N Greenwich after the match today (instead of usual bus).
35 mins from stadium to tube entrance. I'm 6'3" and walk at a fair clip.
Enjoyed it. Will the rough industrial bits eventually become swanky flats, too?
Next time I'll have a quick stop at The Pilot.4 -
The Charlton Riverside master plan suggests most of it will be flats eventually, but it's more centralised on the area between the Barrier and the Anchor and Hope.Siv_in_Norfolk said:Inspired by this thread I walked back to N Greenwich after the match today (instead of usual bus).

The retail parks and aggregate sites will be largely untouched1 -
It’s a long walk and Uber’s don’t show up.
get the bus0 -
The B&Q store is going to be demolished and replaced with flats and the car park will be covered with flats too.sam3110 said:

Last thing I'd wanna do after being folded up behind those ridiculously close seats in the ground is ride a push bike0

It’s two miles from North Greenwich tube to the valley An easy 30 mins walk3

Most people don't walk at 4 mph so to describe it as an easy 30 minute walk is somewhat misleading.Charwill said:It’s two miles from North Greenwich tube to the valley An easy 30 mins walk1 -
