My guess is if Enslin got a loan then Bennett might come in0 -
Jones says Dexter is still training with us and things are ongoing - Bennett has gone3

Anyone got an idea how NJ's presser went...🙄5

Why would anybody think that can be the case before a ball is kicked? Because NJ and the recruitment team have finished their work? Who knows that, nobody on this forum for sure. Because Apter has played at RWB in some of the friendlies? Maybe that is because we do not yet have a proper RWB and somebody has to play there.
I like to put two and two together and make four. We do not have a proper RWB in the squad at present. Rumours are we are looking for one. In the meantime somebody will play in that position. Good luck to them indeed. But does not take away the need to sign a proper RWB.
The weird thing is if/when we do sign a real RWB, those who are insistent that Apter is the man will just go silent because they will know it was the right thing to do. So be it.
As Edwards is a little bit more defensive on the left side, he drops in, and allows Ramsey to get a little wider than traditional RCB.
For this reason, I don't think we actually play with RWB, it is more of a wide forward, which Apter plays very well.
I do think we will bring a RB/RWB in during the window to provide cover, or if we change our approach during the seasonHopefully he is fit for Sheffield United away next month, as that’s probably the first game we’d maybe look to go with a more defensive set up4 -

Out of interest how does his heat map/stats compare with Conor Coventry? And how does it compare in the matches he played for Charlton and not Northampton Town? I'd prefer to compare like with like here - after all one team barely escaped relegation, the other got promoted so I think you might need a bit more than a gimmick to persuade me he's a better player than either of those two players
Still, good luck in persuading Nathan Jones to drop Doc or Coventry in favour of Terry Taylor...if you genuinely think he should be starting ahead of either Coventry or Doc then I'd like to see your reasoning, a few stats when playing for another club tell me absolutely nothing.
Ultimately they fit into NJ's system while TT doesn't, that's why I assume he was loaned out last season.
For me, Doc and Coventry start over him every time.
I was just using it cause you said you couldn't see him getting stuck in basically but his whole playstyle at Northampton was getting stuck in more or less.
Here's how he matches Coventry, not much in it, Coventry covers more of the pitch, Taylor is a deep lying playmaker. Coventry better defensive stats, Terry wins more duels marginally.1 -

It remains to be seen which Reece Burke we get. With NJ 's high pressing game rotation is going to be very important and also the medical staffs ability to keep players fit.0
-
NJ mentioned in his interview that apart from Godden and Burke we’re pretty much full strength. It’s certainly a concern that Burke is already going to be without a proper preseason given his history. Same for Matty although less so I’m hoping.1

FWIW I'm expecting another 1 or 2 permanents (Dexter being one) and 1 or 2 loans. Then 2 or 3 leaving.....probably on loan.3 -

Gavin Carter suggesting there may be more signings. There’s a link to the full talksport interview in the article.
https://www.charltonafc.com/news/carter-we-feel-were-building-something
"We believe that we’ve made strong additions, perhaps there is still more to come and there is lots of work going on behind the scenes and we’re building a squad that can compete now and grow into the future as well."
