  • Have finally caught up with Father Brown! I think it just a very well done show. Do hate they got rid of some of my favorite characters(Bunty especially, my God she is gorgeous! <3) but still solid episodes.

A touch of humor and drama and always a twist. Good stuff.

Just finished 1923 after (i think seeing recommendations on here). Some properly outlandish scenes and coincidences but thought it was brilliant overall. Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford doing what they do. My partner was particularly taken with Spencer.......
Is it as unrelentingly harrowing as 1883? I genuinely felt depressed after pretty much every episode in that series!
    No. 1923 isn’t as harrowing as 1883.
There are three stories being told simultaneously with very different vibes.
    Season one wasn’t bad.
Season two turned into the biggest steaming turd of a programme by the end. Utterly shit.

If you want to see my previous ramblings on this programme, it’s on page 392 of this thread.
I have talked about plotlines, but those comments are hidden behind a spoiler button, so you’re safe to read! (Although, I would argue you should read the spoiler and save yourself the time of watching the big pile of bollocks) 😎
I couldn't agree more. The last few episodes were utterly ludicrous. 1883 is much better in my view despite being a Lonesome Dove rip off.
  • Not new, but I've recently started (and now flying through) Curb your enthusiasm. Can't believe I didn't watch it sooner
  • lucky u, the early ones are brilliant

We like Father Brown. Easy watching, not a complex plot to follow, all a bit of fun in bygone rural England.
  • Have started watching Malcolm in the Middle with my grandkids. Watched it back in 2000s with my kids. Forgot how great it was. Brilliant characters all of them. It's all on Disney Plus. UTA

Enjoyed rewatching it earlier this year. Has the new series come out yet?
  • The, follow on I suppose in a way, of the US office is The Paper. Has one contingent character and a strong lead cast of Tim Key and Domhall Gleeson. Ive seen the same 40 second clip anyone else whose interested has and I'm looking forward to it.

Tim Key is well overdue a lead role in something and Domhall Gleeson has sharp comedy timing, hope its half as good as the US Office turned out to be

I fear the chances of this being absolutely awful are about 98%. The US Office was pretty bad towards the end as it was.

My mate once called this an extreme version of “Some mother’s do ‘ave ‘em” and I think that describes it very well.
Some of the most cringe inducing scenes on TV.
    I love it.
