As far as football is concerned it’s probably a bit of an undiscovered goldmine in terms of Jamaican football league talent. Great forward thinking by the club for exploring the potential. It’s fascinating really. When the slave trade all started apparently Jamaica got first refusal on the African slaves so they obviously chose the fittest and strongest. Since then they have just maintained a gene pool of excellent physical specimens and this leads to the thought process they Jamaica is a potential goldmine.
he had some statics but I can’t recall them. But it was quite an enlightening and interesting chat really and hopefully explains our current tie-in with all things Jamaican26 -

Amazing to think that Eton was founded by Henry VI in 1440 as a free school for 70 poor boys from the local manor who were bad at Grammar.
Now Eton will cost around 60k over the school year but it opens more doors than a myriad of keys, and gives supreme confidence to the likes of Charlie Methven, Boris Johnson, David Cameron etc*
*For political balance I was going to put a labour prime minister who had gone to Eton but couldn't find one since Ramsey McDonald became the first Labour prime minister.
Back to the footie peeps🏐
That is the system in Kent so Comprehensive schools aren’t an option.
But you’re right. Grammar schools should be shut.5 -

Don't panic, I know you’re a very sensitive guy when tangents arrive.
You are not alone. Many on here don't like tangents or a different angle.
Just like over the years many CAFC players struggle with corners !

Also I'm not saying all Jamaican footballers aren't good or worth looking at, if there's individuals with talent then absolutely but it's the only pond we seem to be fishing in overseas and en masse, they hardly produce the same level of talent as South America for example. If we were looking for an overseas link I'd assume that would be a more regular stream of talent.3 -
New signing! Looks a bit old though, heard he's pretty versatile

This thread is Jamaican me crazy!12

Can we just get penny out and sign Bennett to slightly get this thread back on track. Wouldn't be surprised to see that one today or tomorrow and then maybe gets minutes against Stevenage?0

MrBurns said:I'd like to see him on the bench on Saturday.Hypothetical question, Ahadme is on the bench for us and through a complex and baffling series of events - he comes on at 1-1 in the 91st minute and scores to hand us 3 sweet pointsThe next day, Bolton make an offer for him . . .

I can see Ahadme staying until Godden etc are fully fit. For a loan there is no reason to rush.2

Interviewer: What do you think you can bring to the role of Head of Youth Partnerships?
Brownie: I won't let you down.
