Barry Bannan's hair is a new signing for them.MintoHumbugs said:Barry Bannan signs a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday.
He will be like a new signing for them while they struggle to field a team.2 -

Having a medical at Ipswich now it seems.Callumcafc said:Brilliant to see Ipswich entering the picture for Chuba Akpom after Brum fans were lording it over Middlesbrough yesterday.1 -
Looks like Swansea won't be signing Richard Kone and Leicester are being heavily linked.
I bet Wycombe are kicking themselves now they didn't accept Luton's bid last January, he's looking to go for almost half of that fee now1 -
Kone, 14 goals without the pens
Kelman, 19 goals without the pens
A lot of excitement around Kone by bigger champ sides, but no one seems to be bothered about Kelman despite him having the better season and better career so far6 -

Norwich sign striker Jovon Makama from Lincoln

It’s the profile that makes Kone a more interesting proposition for clubs above us. Kelman is very much a penalty box striker who won’t get involved much with the rest of play, whereas Kone can mix it up a bit more - as well as being younger.Braziliance said:Kone, 14 goals without the pens

I don't think that's true at all. If you watch Kelman and Kones goal for the season side by side, Kelman is more clinical, has a wider variety of goals, anticipates better, more goals from range/outside the box, appears to be quicker. The only thing I think Kone has on him is he appears a bit more physical and more suited to leading the line on his own with his foot work. I see your point, but Kelman is far more than a penalty box striker looking at his goals and output.ElliotCAFC said:

Luckily for us I think Kelman has been underestimated a bit, his technique was sublime the season gone.5 -

Should be confirmed next couple of days apparently.North Lower Neil said:
Being linked with Kieffer Moore too, but that could be 2+2=4 with him being Welsh.Steven81 said:Ben Jacobs ( feel disgusted saying that name) reporting Wrexham agreed personal terms with windass with medical scheduled next week.Big signing if true.
Moore, Hardie, Smith as forward options, Windass too just behind?
Presume Marriott, Palmer, Rodriguez, Faal might follow Mullin out the door.0 -
Watching the NTT Championship video, they noted that Wrexham have picked up a lot of players as they rose up the divisions, and have struggled to get rid of many of the fringe players.North Lower Neil said:

This is a major point with Wrexham, they'll have put those players on very good money that they won't get anywhere else and now a lot of them are surplus to requirements and will be very hard to shift.killerandflash said:

i m o they have signed potential rather than the finished product .. so far he has not been a prolific goal scorerMarcusH26 said:https://www.weareimps.com/news/makama-makes-record-move-norwich

Yeah I think this is probably another one like Burrell to QPR where you're signing the traits that he's got and what he could become as opposed to someone that will start every week.Lincsaddick said:

Yeah I wonder if they'll be a late flurry of loans out with them paying a big chunk of the wages - can't see them wanting a squad of 35 or whatever with a load of players not playing and grumbling.MarcusH26 said:

Potential to be an excellent signing for Oxford1

Scored no goals in his loan spell at WBA in the second half of last season.fenaddick said:Potential to be an excellent signing for Oxford
I sometimes thing that PL clubs over estimate how good their youngsters are, or at least how ready they are for EFL football. So often you see a young player going on loan to the Championship, making no impression, then having to drop down a division or 2 before rising up the ladder again. Or finding their level down there.1 -

Interesting Oxford have gone for two loans as their striker transfers this summer, rather than buy anyone.0

There's definitely a feeling that Premier League sides in general look down on League One and Two as not good enough for their kids. Obviously you do get a fair few going on loan there, but feels like too many are loaned to Championship too soon.killerandflash said:

I'd have assumed Kone was more of an NJ type of player to be honestBraziliance said:

That shows the small budget they have, and that with the finances going towards their new stadium, they're not going to gamble on expensive signings to stay up.stoneroses19 said:Interesting Oxford have gone for two loans as their striker transfers this summer, rather than buy anyone.0 -
Brum fans still crying about not having it all their own way

Wrexham have signed Wales striker Kieffer Moore on a three-year contract from Championship rivals Sheffield United.
The fee for the 32-year-old is undisclosed but reports suggest the deal is worth £2m.

Apparently was on £25k a week at Sheffield United. Intrigued what Wrexham will be paying.shirty5 said:Wrexham have signed Wales striker Kieffer Moore on a three-year contract from Championship rivals Sheffield United.

Presumably Moore and Hardie to start, Smith on the bench?

Rumours they're after Lewis Koumas too, given that and the Broadhead rumour seems they're targeting a few localised lads.
Danny Ward and Coady too.
Cacace less so!0 -
Personally, I'd start Smith over Hardie....then again, not our problem!!North Lower Neil said:Presumably Moore and Hardie to start, Smith on the bench?1
