I’ll give you some backup on this golfie. Although your argument is I think on the extreme side I do see where you are coming from. The main thrust of our recruitment has been to pick off the better league one players which I think you’ll agree was the way to go. We’ve supplemented that with some older experienced Championship players who in my humble opinion with the exception of Kaminski arnt names that would blow anyone’s socks off. Sound but probably not any better than those found in any Championship squad we’ll face. We need both sides of that equation to work and there’s probably more risk of that blowing up with the “exciting “ signings from league one, than the steady Eddie older payers. It’s absolutely terrific that for the first time in years we’ve actually gone and spent some decent money and we should enjoy it but I think a lot of people are getting carried away. This squad has if all works out given us a fighting chance of survival. For me that’s about it. I am not sure that any of them have shown enough last season to think they can make it in the Champ, as first teamers I mean. I fact, NJ has brought in more experienced or better performing players in every position that they were in last season. Yes, a lot of the new signings and the young players are untested at this level.
Some might succeed, others may not make it or at least not yet but it is this constant desire to look for the worst case scenario, the rush to run down our players, especially our academy products, that baffles me.
Why can't we wait to see how it plays out?
Why do we have to slight the achievements of our academy players who are 20 or 21 by saying that they didn't perform as well as other players 3 or 4 years older and so further along with their development who were some of the best non-promoted players in the division?

My issue isn't necessarily with his comments, more the know it all negativity. We've had an unbelievable window, arguably as good as it could have been, but he and a few others will still find a reason to be fucking negative, and deliver it all in a 'I know more than you' tone that really fucks me off.
He's a boring know it all who consistently brings negativity to a conversation and has hilariously been proved wrong on many occasions, sometimes almost instantly (Leaburn scoring twice immediately after he announced 'he's poor, won't score again this year' or something along those lines).
His takes are shite, he's a boring negative melt and I'm going to continue to call him out for it. Even if I'm called Twatish.

Got a companies house alert, seems £26m of share capital has been issued (and paid), which may link to the summer spending.
Only £26m? Why are our owners so skint? Why aren't they spending money?
Seriously,
1. It's not what other clubs are spending but it is still a lot by our standards.
2. This won't all be fees and wages although they will be, IMHO, the majority for last season and this. The rest will have been spent or will be spent on the ground and Sparrows Lane and other expenditure
3. Because it isn't all wages and fees it doesn't automatically mean we have breeched financial fair play limits

To an extent but you’d still need to do a full when you decide to sign. The risk responsibility changes from being on the player to being on the clubsam3110 said:
