Maybe relevant if so?
All looking very messy.
Maybe we gave him a deadline to get his shares sold by and he's not managed to.2 -
Did a bit of sleuthing on Dane Murphy. Apparently as part of joining us as CEO he’d have to give up his role as ‘chairman of the supervisory board’ and sell his shares at Vitesse. Yesterday afternoon a Vitesse fan page on Twitter posted that he had sold his shares to their main shareholders. Surely this would indicate that the path has been cleared for him to join rather than it falling through.*EDIT*
Didn’t see above posts about the situation, but hopefully that’s sorted now with the mentioned post.4 -
No reason the Knibbs announcement should be held up, they’ve already wished Godden happy birthday on socials.9

Sadly, ashes spreading at the memorial garden are a regular, almost monthly occurance so with all due respect to Redmidland that wouldn't impact on normal operations or announcements.21

The fact that the words "sensitivity" have been used can only IMHO be due to Redmidlands ashes & service, nothing else would fit, even a proposed CEO not joining, thats not sensitive, thats just news.3

So it’s either something else or the original poster hasn’t got the right information. Which happens all the time on forums , not sure why we’re taking it as gospel.2

Why did Kyoto Sanga reject Shinnosuke Fukuda’s move to England?
As Charlton Athletic, newly promoted to the EFL Championship (England’s second tier), work to reinforce their squad for the 2025/26 season, it appears they had been pursuing the signing of a Japanese player. Having returned to the Championship for the first time since being relegated in the 2019/20 season, Charlton have already brought in seven new signings during the 2025 summer transfer window, steadily strengthening their team.
According to UK media outlet Daily Mail, Charlton approached J1 side Kyoto Sanga with a proposal to sign defender Shinnosuke Fukuda on a loan deal with an option to buy. However, Kyoto rejected the offer.
Kyoto’s stance is that they are only willing to part with the player in a permanent transfer, and Fukuda’s contract reportedly includes a release clause of £800,000 (around ¥160 million). Unless this amount is paid in full, it seems difficult for negotiations to move forward.
Fukuda, currently 24 years old, has made 21 J1 appearances so far this 2025 season. As of the end of Matchday 24, Kyoto sit in 4th place—just 4 points behind the league leaders and within reach of the title. Fukuda has recorded 3 goals and 1 assist in all competitions this season, marking the best form of his career to date.
The media also reports that Fukuda sees playing in Europe as a necessary step toward making Japan’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He has yet to receive a senior national team call-up.
Charlton, for their part, have been actively recruiting various players this summer as they look to solidify their place in the Championship.
Latest piece in Japanese media regarding Fukuda. Doesn’t give away anything we didn’t already know from other articles.1 -

As Henry said, the spreading of supporters ashes is an almost daily occurrence.1 -

I suppose it’s also how you’d define sensitive. I would read it as the announcement something fans wouldn’t be too happy about or at the least, the MT want to control the message for. As it’s been noted not to be first team related I can only assume it’s an illness/sickness/bereavement or somebody leaving/not joining.Qué será, será…0

Not wishing to stand on anyone toes but I was advised a young player sadly passed away yestrday and that may put a slight hold on things. Expecting the club to announce something and release some kind of statement today. Hence the sensitivity part.35

Deleted an attempt at a joke which turned out to be inappropriate post with the current news, certainly not intentional, just sods law in timing...🤦♂️0
