Been offered another young CAM on loan from Roma interesting to see if this is one we take a gamble on come from what looks like a very good journalist

Not someone I would want us to be signing with the intent to start, but could be a real gem.https://youtu.be/HmzwgMv5BLo?si=c8Fu_uZO44I1MZbt
Much prefer the idea of a cheap price with a massive sell on over a loan.0 -

I wonder why we were singled out for such a generous offer ?5

Personally felt he looked their best player across the 3 games I watched against orient. Would be good to pull it off11

I signed him on loan on FM a couple of years ago and he played as the 10 behind Leaburn, and they combined for 46 goals as we stormed the Championship, so on that basis we should sign him*
(We'll ignore the fact that we also got taken over in my save and I signed about 15 players that season for almost £70m and did a "Birmingham")3 -
Not sure I believe the rumour , but Donley was the Orient player I wanted the most above Galbraith and Kelman.
Before we played them I also liked the keeper Keeley however he was probably the main reason we beat them both at Brisbane Road and Wembley.6 -
Can someone let our favourite correspondent know so he can accuse us if being Vile again.1

I'm just not sure about how Donley tallies with what NJ said last night to Rich about loans. Undoubtedly a quality young player with a very bright future though.0

it may be a fitness thing for him, after four years in Italy, he’s now back in Ireland and trying to find a deal be that in Ireland initially or in the EFL
Here’s an interview with him also about his time in Italy and what he wants going forward https://x.com/seanocsport/status/1947575689286152340?s=46&t=33ikxRKjqn4pNEPW-1jbqg0 -
Was it just me that didn’t really rate Donley much when we played them? I’m sure he’ll have a good career at Championship level or higher eventually but not sure he’s there yet and if he’s just on loan, I think it’d be a bit of a waste. Wages would be fairly cheap maybe0

with 29 goals in 87 games across assorted levels he clearly is no mug and thats a decent return for an attacking midfielder /winger
probably all bollocks but an interesting link nonetheless1 -
I hope if the Donley rumours are true, we have an option to buy.
Left footer, tall, good on the ball, got goals in his game and his assists were double figures last season, covers our attacking mid role.
Would be ideal, just don't see it unfortunately

Just spoke to Mishel Nduka and his mind is set on Arsenal. I did my best to try and convince him to stay but he said the opportunity at Arsenal was too good to turn down.25

I feel like the ownership are taking a gamble on selling the youth to balance the books, in order to make/keep us a competitive team9

Why do people keep talking as if we are going to sell Ramsay

A young player who has one good season in the Championship can be sold for several million, potentially £10m+, especially attacking players.
Ezri Konsa is a great example. Sold by Roland for about £2m when we were in L1. After one season in the Championship Brentford sold him for around £12m.
If we're occasionally selling a player for a big fee that's preferable to those days of selling players too early and seeing other clubs make huge profits on them. If it's happening it'll mean we've at least stayed in the Championship and are recruiting well and improving players.11
