Could also be why AMB is happy to stay and fight for his place if Mannion has perhaps expressed a desire to move on to play first team football somewhere?carly burn said:
Was thinking this last night. His league one stock is very high. If I was a keeper I'd want regular football and I don't think he'll get it here now.AberystwythAddick said:If you were Mannion you would be angling for a move no? You’d just kept a fair amount of clean sheets and conceded no goals in a play off campaign. He could start for a top end league one side easily0 -

I would imagine that in the modern game, being one of 3 goalkeepers competing for game time is probably the ideal scenario. You will routinely get spells when you are playing, spells when you’re on the bench and spells where you can rest and recover.AberystwythAddick said:If you were Mannion you would be angling for a move no? Nope. He's still fairly early in his goalkeeping career given that he's only actually had one full season as number 1 at L1 level, and even then he missed some of the season injured. Kaminski is a great player to learn from and he's 32. Mannion should be looking to get as much experience from having better competition in front of him as possible and try and take the spot off Kaminski rather than drop back down again at the first opportunity. Chances for keepers open up in unexpected ways. AMB actually held his spot after Mannion's injury until he got injured himself despite Jones not really rating him and Dillon Phillips went from a player who Bowyer didn't trust as a L1 keeper to our Championship player of the year just by getting in when others were unavailable and putting in the performances. I hope he embraces the opportunity rather than avoids itAberystwythAddick said:If you were Mannion you would be angling for a move no? I don't think that Jones will WANT to get rid but I wouldn't be surprised if serious offers did get considered at least. We currently have three senior keepers, his stock is as high as its ever been and any fees we do get could maybe put an extra little bonus into the transfer budget.AberystwythAddick said:If you were Mannion you would be angling for a move no? I personally hope he stays but won't be that shocked if he does move at some point.0 -

So do I, the best keeper we’ve had for a fair while. Not really felt uncomfortable with him in the sticksthenewbie said:

Then we’ll be in the market for a GK again. AMB is not in Jones plans although credit to Ashley for wanting to stay and fight for a place.thenewbie said:

Very little noise, other than on here, about departures.
Doesn't mean they won't happen but the usual suspects on social media not running any stories.2 -
If I’m honest the only player I’m particularly concerned about leaving is Ramsay. No reason to suppose he might go but I’d be surprised if he’s not on a few clubs radars and would bring in a decent fee, and with Burke signed it’s a probably unwarranted concern at the back of my mind.1

Teams need 3 first team keepers. If you only have 2, you're an injury and a stupid red card away from having a kid between the sticks...AberystwythAddick said:If you were Mannion you would be angling for a move no? Would be excellent if Rob Apter drove a Ford Ranger RaptorDOUCHER said:Walked out of my road about 20 mins ago and turned into Sidcup high st and saw a young fella driving a big black off roader and thought he looks familiar - just realised who - looked like Apter - probably not but feasible - if you’d been for a medical and was trying to get back on the motorway…

Was there an older lady who looked like a Linda in the seat next to him? Yes they do, but from wills perspective would he not think he deserves to be no1 ? If not here then somewhere else. I wouldn’t blame him if he looked to leaveSteveACS said:

Most likey not that much of a rush now to get the two deals done as both would not join the squad this week .. but we would like them at the training ground next Monday when they return3

Did he stop and ask for directions to the National Railways Museum? It’s only 97 miles from Preston if you take a detour.DOUCHER said:Walked out of my road about 20 mins ago and turned into Sidcup high st and saw a young fella driving a big black off roader and thought he looks familiar - just realised who - looked like Apter - probably not but feasible - if you’d been for a medical and was trying to get back on the motorway…2 -

While he was in the area, maybe he was just checking whether the high street still had a Mr Byrite.DOUCHER said:Walked out of my road about 20 mins ago and turned into Sidcup high st and saw a young fella driving a big black off roader and thought he looks familiar - just realised who - looked like Apter - probably not but feasible - if you’d been for a medical and was trying to get back on the motorway…0 -

From going from a barely noticed skin tag in a lonely crevis on my nether regions to an agravating luminous pustule on the end of my hampton, Clapton Orient must be congratulated...

I'm glad you are pleased JFP 1. I consider Sidcup to be a Garrison at the southern boundary of our heartland - go over the A20 and you're running into Bromley, a stripey, palacey borough with stripey, palacey people. With great power, comes great responsibility but i will continue to try and pull the curtains open when there is limited light seeping through a well guarded transfer window.John_Fitzpatrick1 said:

I’m sure there were rumours way back that Tyreece had already been tapped up by another club … as he’s still here, hopefully it was bullshit.0
