If you are being serious I should assume it would be a CHAPS payment to and from the club’s bankers.AberystwythAddick said:On a slightly different note, how do you think the fees for a transfer are moved? Do you reckon that it is someone on their banking app moving cash about?0 -
Not entirely related to us, but it sounds like JRS is going to Wolves for 10 millionFor those who were hoping to get him on loan.. I don't think we can compete with that9

FFS... Even Wolves are copying our homework now!!Braziliance said:Not entirely related to us, but it sounds like JRS is going to Wolves for 10 millionFor those who were hoping to get him on loan.. I don't think we can compete with that20 -
If true that is a lot for a player who didn't set the world on fire at Sheff U.Braziliance said:Not entirely related to us, but it sounds like JRS is going to Wolves for 10 millionFor those who were hoping to get him on loan.. I don't think we can compete with that
But for a prem club I guess £10m isn't a huge amount to risk and it's a nice earner for the Glaziers.1 -

Yep, would be a CHAPS but done online.0 -
Just hope they can get nectar points.AberystwythAddick said:On a slightly different note, how do you think the fees for a transfer are moved? Do you reckon that it is someone on their banking app moving cash about?3 -

Could be noise. The fee is a weird one, seems like a lot but the upside could be huge, hardly a big loss for Wolves.1 -
Appalling behaviour, I haven’t looked at this thread in over an hour and only 4 new posts!Disgusting, some of you need to take a hard long look at yerselves!10

I am genuinely interested. Not really a side of the game you hear about.Covered End said:

Our fanbase has become so vile these days, even Floyd and Harvey are planning to fake injuries this season just to avoid having to wave at us.5

They've been transfer listed to make room for the Luton mascot.scabbyhorse said:Our fanbase has become so vile these days, even Floyd and Harvey are planning to fake injuries this season just to avoid having to wave at us.
Jones: "Happy Harry has such a fantastic attitude, that we felt it right to bring him to the Valley, I've worked with him before, he has Championship experience and think he'll be a wonderful addition to the team"9 -
Sounds like Aberystwyth is contemplating some sort of computerized hijack of the money. You know the old rhyme: "Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a ..."AberystwythAddick said:

2.5 mill rejected1
-
Does he contradict himself there? Bids rejected but he’s gone?8
-
I think he’s meaning to say the structure of the deal is wrong? Could be what they’re trying to sort out. Blackpool will want a fair bit up front I would think, with the rest to be paid over instalments or incentives. For example extra 500k if we stay up. If you were a betting man you’d ask for more guaranteed cash up front I thinkTeeC said:Does he contradict himself there? Bids rejected but he’s gone?0 -

Seems a high price for a league one player0

Not in this day and age sadly. Burrows went for 3 mill. Galbraith went for 1.5 with a year left on his contract, Tanto 1.5. It’s what people pay now unfortunatelyMike said:Seems a high price for a league one player19 -
Not to mention a certain Ademola Lookman who we sold for a fair wedgeAberystwythAddick said:

It would be a high price for a 28/29 year old league one player. But every Charlton fan would have said we’d been robbed if someone took Miles off us for that last summer. You’re paying for the potential that he may be worth 10 with a successful season in the championship.Mike said:Seems a high price for a league one player
I’m a really big fan of his so I may be biased, but I think he’s worth it,7 -
Sounds like he wants the move and it's just the structure really.14
-
Am I too petty? I'll take some pleasure in stealing away one of Blackpool's best players after their 'performance' at The Valley last season.13
-
I wouldn't want us to go past 3 million, but he wants to come so doesn't hurt to get close to that with add ons (e.g 300k if we stay up etc)AberystwythAddick said:

Sounds like the structure of the deal needs to be worked on, rather than them rejecting point blank. The boy wants to come so Blackpool won’t want to stand in his way but will want a decent sell on and I’m guessing a fair whack up front with add ons.3
-
Not in today's market. As well as a decent player, you're also paying for the potential. A good season at Championship level and he could easily be worth 10m+.Mike said:Seems a high price for a league one player
Look at Esse at Millwall. Started about 30 games for them, scored only 6 goals, went to Palace for 12m.2
