According to NJ via Rich it's Kanu or Mbick going out on loan and the other will stay.
Which would suggest that one of the incoming players will be a striker.

Don't let Golfie know as he'll be upset we're wasting money on forwards when he knows we don't need them.

He does say there’s a chance both will go but likely only one , I guess that will depend how many attackers we bring in. As he said that’s where he wants to strengthen.

Interesting he gives nothing away on which one, even when it was suggested to him that Kanu could be more likely.

I expect it’ll be Kanu but maybe Wimbledon’s offer isn’t the only one, and we can take from this there could be clubs interested in Mbick too. Have to see who we bring in as well.

It that was NJ talking about any of our players like that, I'd be thinking they're leaving.

    🤞
My thoughts exactly. No denial or dead batting at all by Bruce, or even an attempt to negotiate the price upwards,  as Barnsley have tended to do when talking about DKD.

I'm taking Golfie's relative silence as a good indicator, if Golfie is satisfied in a window, that is a very good thing.

Oh absolutely. I fully expect another striker in the building. Loaning out one of Kanu and Mbick makes complete sense for their development, I just hope we don't have to use any of the budget paying off Ahadme because we can't get a deal for him

Regrettably he's still occupied pressing his nose against the window looking out for inconsiderate builders.

Blackpool fans have moved on from denial to the “he’s not that good, Charlton will get relegated” stage in response to Bruce’s quotes 🙂

Yes, yes, yes, yes...aah. Crack on and make this happen, Great Dane Murphy, big Phil, little Nathan so we have a squad that can compete in the much higher quality of the Championship.

Steve Bruce often went past people with pace 🤔

    When in a carvery.

Looking more and more likely we will be getting another forward/striker in

Id loan out Kanu, he needs consistent minutes, and his sporadic involvement last season, partly due to injuries, will hamper his career if he stays.

Mbick is still young, don't want him being thrown into First Team Football too soon, keep him around for another year. Can see him getting a mixture of Cup games, the ability to potentially be on the bench with us able to name nine subs, and also U21 Football without the pressure.

We’re a vile club.  Sorry Blackpool fans, how dare we come in for one of your players

Having followed the link, I note that they have been checking out our forum and reading or posts.
Bang out of order, sneaky underhand reading of other fans forums is despicable.

Despite what NJ said , I don't think it's any real contest. Kanu needs the loan time and playing regularly , Mbick is probably best off staying here and then maybe look at January if he's developing in the right way that a loan would suit.

Nice to see a player pushing to join us. Hopefully he's not another Kirk

Judging by yesterday the player who needs a loan (because I can’t see him in the first team squad next season) is Henry Rylah.
Sutton, Dagenham, Southend and Aldershot is what I believe would be the appropriate level for him.
Kanu if he goes ought to be no lower than League One, Wimbledon would be ideal.
I would keep Micha on to possibly play the Chucks brought on late in games role.

This poster also said that we had put a bid in on Friday and didn’t get ridiculed so maybe he’s there Doucher/Pav
  • It’s probably not a good indication that I’ve both felt this excited about us signing a player since Kirk, there’s just something about signing a young attacking player that is better than all other signings. If we do get this over the line I genuinely believe he will make the step up reasonably well

They still haven't forgiven us for helping to get them relegated in 1978 by drawing 0-0 at Orient, still, they were on holiday in Spain when they found out, bet that ruined going pontinental !

I can't remember if this was from an interview or if he was a guest at a supporters group meeting.

Didn't Chris Lock say last season they won't loan any young players below the National League anymore because he wants them in a full time environment and players were coming back with bad habits etc from NLS/Isthmian loans?

Just something that sprung to mind with the likes of Rylah, Josh Laq , Pat Casey and potentially Mwamba.

If I was to hazard a guess I’d say the two clubs have reached an agreement on a fee and now it’s a case of structuring it. Also sounds to me like Apter is keen to join us and has probably agreed terms. I’ve no idea just how good or not Apter is but there doesn’t appear to be a clamour from Championship clubs but perhaps that’s down to us being quick off the mark with a bid etc.

Yes it was about fitness levels dropping from going to clubs that aren't full time

Correct he did, it was less bad habits and more a lack of training time

  • Exciting player but I don't really see how Apter fits in - he's definitely not a wingback and from his stats last season looks like less of a wingback than even Small! Neither does he appear to be a forward - but his goals look fairly promising. Then again, Campbell adapted well so I guess we'll see
