This must be the most CL discussion ever, debating how tall a player is and are the club making it up.

We don’t truly know how tall a player is until Braziliance has stood next to them to tell us.Henry Irving said:Remember Miles has been growing, he's only 21.

It’s a bigger gamble for clubs with smaller budgets than larger ones.Scoham said:
Quick, strong and hard working on FM, could suit NJ and could be too much of a gamble for clubs with bigger budgets. These are the sort of players we should be looking at, aside from Small I don't remember any other PL academy players joining and making an impact.Athletico Charlton said:Do people reckon we would have any chance with Donnell McNelly. Chelsea 19yr old striker, out of contract t and refusing to sign as wants first team football. Teams in the EFL being linked apparently but no names. Maybe would know Leaburn from their academy? Would have a decent chance of first team footy here if good enough.
Lts of kids stay at Chelsea too long getting comfy on money so seems a good attitude he is looking for footy already.
Maybe Connor Gallagher could call him and put in a word..0 -

“jersey” “ass” blokes that have probably been watching the game for 18 months and expect the US national team to be on the level of Brazil.Braziliance said:Searched Alex Freeman on twitter, the reviews don’t look too promising, again 😂
Alex Freeman is 20 years old and has already played for the National team; some complete knob heads about.1 -
I've already confirmed his height. He's at least 4 inches (massive) taller than me, no need to discuss it. 6'6 + confirmed. The Red Robin said:

I think the No.17 & No. 9 for Worksop might be ringers 🤔😂TheAddicks4Ever said:

Dylan McGeouch had a very unusual youth career, both for Rangers and Celtic .. got the 1/2 n 1/2 scarf to prove it3

- Tyrhys Dolan - Out of contract with Blackburn lots of experience but only 23, I saw him as a player who could compete and cover for TC. Seems to have lots of interest though
- Alex Freeman - I was recently in Orlando and saw this lad play, looked a fantastic player, again young, RWB who was an impressive athlete over 6ft, quick and ran all game, he even scored. A US U23 INTL, MLS All-star and just had a senior call-up. Looking online he's interested clubs in the Championship and Serie A previously and a fee of £2m mentioned. He maybe out of budget but given our need for this position he'd be perfect and someone I think we could make a lot of money on
I watch quite a bit of MLS and Freeman is a very impressive young player. Someone that you'd want to get this summer for a sensible price because by next summer he'd be out of the bracket for a championship club to sign. Now he's a full international his price is only going to go up.
Thanks for the feedback, glad it wasn't just my dodgy eye for talent or he's not a one game wonder. I was really impressed as mentioned elsewhere I'd not take much notice of American soccer fans but can't fault a fellow Addick. Shame he's got a cap now as you say will push the value up but also only has a year on his contract.
On a side note the actual game was an excellent watch, Orlando is a great city, has a great stadium, set-up and atmosphere and they sure do know how to create a spectacle. The highlight was when the PA came on and asked the fans to not insult the opposition players after the classic goal kick routine/chant. Grabbed my son a home shirt too which is now his favourite kit0 -

Financially I agree, but what I meant was clubs with big budgets expecting promotion want proven players so won’t want to gamble on an unproven youngster in the way we might.AberystwythAddick said:

Tracey told us he was 6ft 7 when we saw her after the Wycombe away leg and they think he has stopped growing so the injuries should stop.3 -

They are after Guehi from Palace and there are still rumours of Gomez going with Sunderland, Leeds, West Ham and Palace all having been linked. Personally I think he will stay and fight for his place as he has each season. End of this coming season he will be 29 and his value will start dropping off a cliff I suspect sadly.Crispywood said:0 -

Apparently he's useless at free throws, his sack rate is awful and his on base percentage is below averageGarrymanilow said:
To be honest, if Americans don't rate him I see that as a massive plusBraziliance said:Searched Alex Freeman on twitter, the reviews don’t look too promising, again 😂

Away from us, I see out friends at Leyton Orient have signed Aaron Connolly after he was released by Millwall. There's someone who never lived up to his young promise

John Swift played for England at every age group from 16's up to 21's where he was picked 13 times.
Now 30 years old and clubless.0 -
