According to Millwall website our away match at The Den has been moved to 12:30PM on 24th January 2026, due to police advicement.

“Elsewhere, following agreement between both clubs in consultation with police, Millwall's matches away at Queens Park Rangers (Saturday 18th October) and at home to Charlton Athletic (Saturday 24th January 2026) will now kick-off at 12.30pm “

Incidentally the championship tv deal is worth more than the tv deals in place for the top divisions in Holland, Turkey, Scotland and Belgium.
It is 55m more than the tv deals in place for the second tiers of Italy and France combined.
It is more than 4 times the tv money for league one.

Unfortunately being in this league comes at a price, and that is kick off times are going to get moved all over the place. I totally get that people will not like it and don't want to be inconvenienced, but at the same time fans are demanding better players and more signings.

Look on the bright side at least we haven't had any games moved to Friday or Monday night.........yet.

It says the same on our website
Meanwhile, the kick-off time for Charlton's away fixture against Millwall on Saturday, January 24th has been moved to 12.30pm following agreement between both clubs in consultation with police.

12:30 kick offs will never not be naff.

Addicks fans in Asia will be happy though I am sure.

    Just fuck off Sky.
It's the amount of games that are not 3pm on a Saturday that reflects on season ticket sales.

Too easy to watch at home on the Red button
    This

I wasn't planning on getting a ST before Wembley but after promotion I had been wavering. Looking at it now, what with evening games all being shown live as well, there really isnt the draw to buy one.

Oh joy ... first three home games 12:30 kick offs.

For me that means 7am departures from home given the problems with parking around The Valley plus having to give myself an allowance for bad traffic (especially early season with holiday traffic).

I can see this being the last year I have a season ticket if this is what we have to "look forward to".

If everyone took that attitude though, there would be no club.

I personally don’t mind a 12:30 kick off as I live locally and it means I can do something else in the day but doesn’t mean I would be happy for them all to be then because it’s inconvenient for others.

only upside to this is those who cant get there should be able to get a stream to watch it. for those that go to the game 12.30 kos have and always will be a pain in the arse. not as bad as mid week games (especially mondays) but still bad. and even then mid week games can have a decent atmosphere. lunchtime kos rarely do.

Can these games also been seen on Charlton Tv if you are outside the UK? I will be on holiday for one of the games and want to ensure I will be able to see it and not have to scramble around to try and find somewhere that will show it.

    Thanks

My new flat comes with a parking space that I don't need, just a 15min walk to the ground, and be on the A2 within 2mins of pulling away

Don't think the landlord would like it, might still ask though.

Don't let the landlord know as they will end up doing it and taking the money.

Much as I dislike games being moved like this for Sky, at least in the Championship the clubs get a decent sum in return.

It's far more of a joke in L1 and L2, when your game is shifted to 12:30 so that 6 people can watch it on Sky Sports+, when you get peanuts.

Swindon have 2 away games moved, Oldham vs Swindon on the 16th August and Crewe vs Swindon on the 30th August for example. Even worse for away fans, Accrington vs Colchester on the 13th September.

This is ridiculous amount of home games to kick off at 12.30. A good percentage of our fans don't live in London or close in the neighbouring counties.

Yes you accept you take the money and the piper calls the tune, but FFS try and be reasonable.

Same for away games lots even from London wont be able to make it.

    4-games at 3pm / 5-games at 12:30pm on a Saturday in 2025 for fixtures at the Valley

I work in a restaurant bar and find it hard to justify taking days off on a Saturday to watch us, so a lunchtime kickoff is ideal as we usually start work at 4pm, meaning I can now take in the game and still make it in on time.

    Sorry!

Pompey 7.45 on December 29th, not ideal but we were planning a couple of days there anyway.
