HMRC Guidance. Bear in mind these values are on top of what you've already paid every month.

Clem_Snide said:buckshee said:Cycle to work scheme, how does it work exactly? Seen a nice Giant bike I fancy that I can get through the wife's cycle to work scheme. 18 months at £118 a month, question is what happens at the end of those 18 months, is it mine with no more to pay?
I would urge you to have a look at the 2025 Cube Bikes - ridiculously good value. Also consider the fact that Cycle Exchange in Kingston take Cycle to Work vouchers. They often have some amazing deals. Got my current Pinarello X7 from them -ex demo bike in mint condition and £2k under the list price.Cheers for the tip, I’ve had two Cube road bikes before and loved both.1 -
Grand Depart this morning so looking to burden some unlucky cyclist with the extra weight of my £5 e/w punt for the last podium spot.
I think I've settled on Rodriguez at 100/1 as he looks overpriced at that. What/who am I missing in the race for the also rans?

So is the fella who was wearing a Charlton cycling jersey in Biggin Hill, standing chatting opposite Aperfield Road yesterday around 11am on here?
If so, that was me that walked past you and your friend

I often wondered if there'd be any interest in a cafc cycling jersey. Has there ever been an official one? Anyone know of places that might do decent knock-offs?0

There was a Milltag one made a few years back. Think someone on here organised it. They didn’t do fat bastard sizes, so I didn’t get one.
Think Milltag went bust so no chance of a reissue either.0 -
I've got one of the Milltag ones. There are a few of us, looking at the Strava group - but seems a lot of people have stopped riding in the past few years

Have to be careful where you ride wearing it eh? 🤣
Anyone got a pic? Maybe I (or we if the interest) could organise a new unofficial batch, if the club weren't really interested.0 - Sponsored links:

Just a general observation that a lot of people have stopped riding0 -

Officially a Pinarello fanboy! Second one added to stable. Grevil F7 bought. £500 discount I from the Pinarello store in London. Collect Weds. Off road, crap weather and winter sorted. Now to spend that £500 + a bit more on some upgraded wheels.6

Have been following The Silk Road Mountain Race on Instagram since it kicked off last Friday...bloomin awesome....and something I fully expect to see @Clem_Snide competing in next year, now he has his gravel bike...2

Anyone following the Vuelta? I watch it on my other laptop while working but to be honest not been paying a massive amount of attention. Jonas is obviously just going to walk it once it hits high mountains, there's no one there to really challenge him. Maybe he's trying to rein it in a bit, seeing the negative reactions about Tadej winning everything slowly rising....
It's a shame really, but every year I never follow it closely like I intend to, just because I've kind of got grand tour fatigue by this point and am waiting for the cyclo-cross to start 😆. ASO have a strangle hold on the UCI though so there's practically zero chance of it being moved.0 - Sponsored links:

I pretty much stop watching pro cycling when they turn the lights out in the showers at the Roubaix velodrome, then start my countdown to next year's Omloop.
I only vaguely follow the tour, and never bother with the Giro or Vuelta. Much prefer the narrative of a bunch of Belgians kicking the shit out of each other over 6 hours, than a bunch of skeletal freaks on gear grinding each other into dust over three weeks.0 -
I always look forward to the Giro, then by the tour I'm kind of cooled on it, and then by the Vuelta ... well, see above0

Did the Ride Essex 100 Sunday. Possibly the hardest thing I've ever done. First 45 miles were pleasant enough. Next 5 dragged as I longed for the rest stop at halfway. The last 40 miles were a hellacape consisting of gusting headwinds and an aching body.
Completed in under 10 hours, in motion for 7hrs 23mins according to my Strava, for an average speed of 13.6 mph. Very happy with that, though not sure I'll do 100 miles in a single sitting again!
p.s. anybody who tells you Essex is flat is a lying bastard!4 -

Just ordered this beauty, 2023 Merida Scultura Endurance Rival Edition. Has The SRAM Rival AXS electric gears. Should be delivered next week.
Quite the upgrade on my 11 year old Basso Loto with mechanical 105.

I think I'd be cutting my losses by now and going with a different brand.
I almost splashed out some dough on one of theirs a couple of years back when they were still based in Sussex. Glad I didn't now.0
