I suspect there's a healthy budget and I can see £5-7m total spent but I'd be surprised to see £3m on one player even if it was someone outstanding.7

Just not true though is it 😂2 -
Is there any truth in Brad Hills to Charlton? Would love him even if it is on loan. Like Tanto, thought he was really impressive against us last season.0

Ramsey no where need Prem standard .. as yet there still question marks about the championship with quicker players and better movement …. big year for himEr_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:Any rumours of clubs after our players that we'd want to keep? Not sure many players fit the bill - i.e. above where CAFC currently is. Possibly Ramsay a good punt for a Prem team. Possibly others, though none off the top of my head. Not wanting to be negative, and not expecting we'll lose any, just wondered if there were any rumours knocking about - or any players we'll be doing well to keep.4 -
To be fair, he is talking about Ramsey and not RamsayCroydon said:

Louie Spence at this rateBraziliance said:I don't think they'll be signing Louie Barry then.0 -
It's Schrödinger's Burke...fenaddick said:So we have one person (who originally mentioned the defender) saying it isn’t Burke and another person saying it is Burke. Either one of them is wrong or we’ve got 2 deals lined up7 -

"Excl: Hull City hit with transfer embargo by the EFL as fears grows over Championship club’s financial stability. Embargo imposed over late payment of around £1m to a Premier League club. Fair to say alarm bells are ringing #hcafc"
They spent £3.5M on Puerta on Tuesday and went under an embargo two days later for paying a bill late! Some going.2 -

Did I ever say I did ? I’m being realistic, if you prefer to live in world where you believe we will drop 3.5 million+ on player to make you feel better then that’s completely up to you but I am telling you how I see it.J BLOCK said:

I don't expect we will either, but comments like this are just not true, like I said, you have ZERO idea of our budget.1 -
Just looked that up and they were obliged to sign him for £3millon if he hit 20 starts for them last year, which he did in April. Interestingly, he doesn’t sound like he wants to be there at all. Reckon he’ll be off before the season starts.Athletico Charlton said:Braziliance said:Hull under an embargo

Quansah being sold means that Gomez is unlikely to exit the changing room door. I'm not sure what Jota was insured for though, they need to replace him.0

Around the 3 mill mark is the going rate for a decent championship level player. It’s for nothing to do with expectation it’s the reality that if you want to be competitive that’s what you have to fork out.3

Apparently the £1m fee was a loan fee to Villa for.......Louie Barry. The EFL told Hull on Monday about this & Hull have since sent documents to the EFL to clarify it. But then the EFL slapped a 3 window embargo on Hull effective from tomorrow. Hull are hoping to get the embargo lifted or reduced.Braziliance said:Hull under an embargo

Bizarre how the story was that Hull were about to buy Barry for £3.5m, when they've not even paid last season's loan fee for him yet.
If true it's also a sign of how expensive loan signings can be, if Hull were charged £1m to loan someone for half a season.5 -
Whether we know the actual budget or not if we were willing to give up on Small because we deemed his demands too high, lost out on Offiah who’s gone for 1.2M and Galbraith who’s gone for between 1.5-3M (depending which source you believe) it just comes down to common sense that we clearly don’t have infinite budget to drop 3.5M on a single player. The board have proven they’re willing to invest and give it a go but in order to be able to drop that kind of money we need either massive sales to reinvest or be an established CH team which we are neither. In reality yes thats probably the going price for good players nowadays but we’ve also got to be realistic that we don’t have an endless money pitJ BLOCK said:

Bit too soon to talk about replacing Jota and insurance, he was a human being not a comodity.Gisappointed said:Quansah being sold means that Gomez is unlikely to exit the changing room door. I'm not sure what Jota was insured for though, they need to replace him.40 -

Judging by reports, it could be about to unravel at Hull City. Suppliers concerned about the financial state of the club.3

On the same page as it's revealed a 2nd championship club is in financial trouble, we're hoping to spend 3m on a player, knowing that our annual loss this season will probably be 15m plus. This league is crazy.Yann897 said:Not necessarily Barry but I think there’s a chance we could spend 3m on a player this summer if the right one becomes available . Wishful thinking maybe but I just have a feeling we might go for it before end of the window.2 -

I was granted a third guess and Ding Dong is a clue to who we have allegedly signed.
I am only being cryptic as I know that even a tiny bit of fun helps alleviate the boredom between the gaps in signings. Probably spent more time writing this than it will take to work out though.Do you get a promote if it ends up correct?6 -
