Ramsey no where need Prem standard .. as yet there still question marks about the championship with quicker players and better movement …. big year for him

I suspect you’re right, but the last two signings have shown that we are willing to spend decent money. If Jones convinces the powers that be that a player is worth the money and can yield a much bigger profit then I could see us paying a decent fee.

And I’m not doubting that whatsoever proven by the signings of olaofe and kaminski but we simply aren’t going to spend 3.5 million, that’s not including a high wage demand which would most  likely make him our highest earner at the club.

It’s more or less the going rate for decent championship players now though. You don’t know we wouldn’t pay that much. If management believed we need it then there’s always a possibility

Did I ever say I did ? I’m being realistic, if you prefer to live in world where you believe we will drop 3.5 million+ on player to make you feel better then that’s completely up to you but I am telling you how I see it. 

I don't see Barry coming in at that sort of price with TC and Olaofe here - wasn't he keeping Olaofe out of Stockport's team, until he was recalled in January? I assume the first half of the season was when Olaofe made most of his 16 sub appearances in the league.

We look to be spending more than I expected, but I can't see us paying out £3m+ on a single player this summer without selling one or two of our own for big fees, or getting in a big amount via a sell on clause for Gomez. A player worth that is likely to expect a big wage too, so it's not just about the fee being affordable.

I can see us spending a few more million this summer, but across multiple signings.
