That's the aim. Only shame for me is that the timing of the opening meant that those kids got to meet Brownie instead of a current player. Would have been great to have Godden, Jones or someone thereRothko said:It was full of kids with their parents who were shelling out on new kit, that's a win0 -
I'd prefer Matty Godden to be having a well-earned rest on a beach somewhere exotic and Nathan Jones to be sorting out new signingsfenaddick said:

I meant Lloyd not Nathan but I agree, that's why I mentioned the timing. Give it two weeks and they could have popped down after trainingChizz said:

If it means we shift more gear, and have a better transfer budget, then I'm all for it.0

Should’ve got Steve Brown modelling the new kit as well in that caseChizz said:

I'm sure when the players are back and the schools are on holiday they'll be a few PA's etc.
probably to coincide with away/3rd kit launch1 -

A lot or charlton fans probably live closer to bluewater than the valley club shop.
The home shirt sales rate should likely evidently increase.
I don't care if the shirts are overly expensive. Whatever makes the money.2 -

Once the away kits, and the 3rd kit are released, I can see myself venturing down there, could do with some new shorts/ running tops.0

Need to see the other kits before shelling out cash for my son.So stupid to launch and not have the away or third kits2

Arrived at Bluewater just after 7 this evening only to find out the new shop closes at 7pm 🤦9

Even if there is a limited amount of time this shop is open I imagine we'll see a noticeable increase in sales of merchandise. If the shop is not to be a permanent thing hopefully we can have it open until January to take in the Christmas demand.3

I think it's a great idea, there's been a real lack of merchandise to buy for years and I keep seeing Millwall and Palace around far too much recently3

3 mths only apparently according to earlier posting.ElfsborgAddick said:Even if there is a limited amount of time this shop is open I imagine we'll see a noticeable increase in sales of merchandise. If the shop is not to be a permanent thing hopefully we can have it open until January to take in the Christmas demand.0 -
A shame as this has legs to increase merchandise sales dramatically.gringo said:

What else were you expecting to see being sold in there?dajavouslagan said:Was there today, bit disappointed tbh. Had the new kit, a few training tops & shorts. A few bits like mugs, water bottle & one badge & not much else. Can’t see it lasting unfortunately!4 -

Wouldn’t mind betting they will see how busy it is before committing to anything longer. Rent is expensive in Bluewater so it’s only worthwhile having it open when it’s making money - although it’s good for Bluewater as they have a few empty units, so pop-ups give them rent they won’t otherwise get.ElfsborgAddick said:

Better to have a smaller assortment and do it well than try and please everyone and screw up. There’s always more of a push on the home kits because it’s what the average fan buys - and is why there’s a wait on away and third kit sales. Makes sense from a retail/commercial angle.1 -
tell you what, that Stevie Brown wont let you down, wields a nifty scissor!Mendonca In Asdas said:

The belief seems to be that the shop won't last very long.
It's likely it won't have a permanent stay....but should at least hopefully hold out for 2/3 years.
1. Classic shirt replications of 30 odd years ago.
2. Charlton mugs
3. Autobiographys/books on our history/quiz etc
Hold the phone, why am I writing about it. I time have on my hands.
I'll go there today and buy a bloody good scarf!1 -
This has been needed for years now. We should make it as easy as possible to buy tickets ( not just season tickets ). I've been fed up for years with the Premiership crap that has been for sale at Bluewater.
Let's hope the team can give the casual punter a reason to shop there and go to the matches.0 -
Somewhere for all the scum fans to get tickets in the home end for their cup final on September 13th0
-
It’s been mentioned before but with the easy parking at Bluewater and the parking issues at The Valley it’s surely feasible to run buses from there to The Valley on a match day. Fans could then shop/ eat before or after so Bluewater would get extra trade too.11

I've just been the shop in bluewater.
They do need more stuff, but I like what I see.
The new reebok shirt is georgous and has potential for longevity.
It's quite a small shop.
Can get mugs, playing.cards, scarfs and an absolutely outstanding tie! No books yet
Staff member told me they'll bring in classic shirts over the next month or so.
