When the paramount disney type park was gonna be built near ebbsfleet, i did have this vision of excursions being sold around the world where you visit the amusement park, bluewater, the valley and the o2. Cruise ships docking near ebbsfleet and connecting by riverboat. You'd have to put a massive fence up hiding thamesmead but it could work.
Aside from potential retail unit, a free parking park n ride scheme from Bluewater could work well with Championship & above crowds. Good opportunity for Kent folk or people crossing the bridge to have safe parking, ability to shop or eat pre / post game, with a 20-30 min chargeable Valley Express coach transfer to The Valley,
Bluewater has 13,000 parking spaces, there’s a relationship that could be developed there

Im sure that Bluewater management will be really overjoyed at the prospect of their car parking spaces being taken up on the busiest retail day by Charlton fans commuting to Woolwich for free. Im surprised that they haven't asked us earlier.
the other is a strategic partnership can carry multiple benefits to both parties, and on the parking point the reality is out of 13,000 spaces the impact of one 50 seater coach is likely to be 25-35 vehicles. If 10 of those 50 got there early and did some shopping pre pick up, and another 10 stay for something to eat at 6pm on return, then they’ve gained from it too.
The shrinking number of parking opportunities is already a problem at Charlton and will get worse with higher crowds. There needs to be some creative experimenting.
When we are in Europe our owners will have to sort out the parking. Perhaps they can buy that land near ebbsfleet with their spare change dug out from the back of the sofa, and build a huge multistorey 😉
Well i was interested in a black hoody, a red hoody and white hoody but I guess I'll be able to save a few quid and pop into bluewater for a 3 in 1 version. Hope it's reversible as well.

This would be a really good idea for night games in particular.
Never saw any Charlton stuff in the Castore stores was always Red Bull/McLaren F1 merch in the main and gym wear. The odd England cricket shirt if you were lucky.
Charlton Athletic are delighted to announce that it will be launching its first-ever pop-up store of its kind at retail and leisure destination Bluewater this summer.
The news follows Charlton’s recent promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, marking a major milestone for the south-east London club. The store will give fans the opportunity to shop the brand-new 2025/26 Reebok home, away and third kits, once they are released, along with a full range of official merchandise, training wear and accessories.
Representatives from the club and the shopping centre have been working closely since Charlton Manager Nathan Jones jokingly banned his players from visiting Bluewater during their promotion push to avoid distractions. In response, Bluewater shared a tongue-in-cheek social media post*, showing its security team scouring the shopping centre looking for players.
The video quickly gained traction with over a million organic social media views, with engagements from Charlton players and pundits, alongside a feature in BBC’s Football Daily 72+: The EFL Podcast.
The viral content led to the club and centre exploring further collaborations, which has since included matchday programme features and pitch-side ads, culminating with today’s announcement.
Now, with promotion secured, Bluewater is set to welcome the Addicks and their supporters into the 1,100 square foot unit located on the Upper Rose Gallery, next to Starbucks - it is set to open later this month, with the club to confirm the official opening date.
Centre Director at Bluewater James Waugh commented: "We’re incredibly excited to be working with Charlton Athletic to bring their first-ever pop-up retail store to Bluewater. The club’s promotion has been a brilliant achievement, and we’re delighted to support them with a bricks-and-mortar space that gives fans the chance to celebrate and shop the brand-new kits in person.
"We will be announcing more details on the new Charlton store in due course, with an expected opening date to be shared as soon as possible."
Charlton Athletic Board member Ed Warrick added: "Our promotion to the Championship is a proud moment for everyone connected to Charlton Athletic, and launching our first-ever pop-up store at Bluewater is a fantastic way to celebrate with our supporters. The response from fans, the wider football community and Bluewater itself has been phenomenal, and this collaboration is a natural next step. We’re thrilled to bring our new Reebok kits and full merchandise range to such a high-profile location."
I think this is a positive step, would love to know the opening hours, ie will it be open in the evenings to shop, and also its free to park at Bluewater.
Will our Valley Gold card , still get 10% off? Will the prices be the same as the club shop?
Hopefully it's successful enough to not just be a 'pop-up' but a permanent fixture
I would think finance wise it’s probably not sustainable as a full time shop, Bluewwater has lots of pop ups so I’d imagine an agreement could be reached for one every summer with new kit being launched from it?

Six months in my opinion to coincide with the Christmas trade
Great news about the shop, but every time I have tried to get the latest Home shirt from the club shop my size is sold out, so I really hoping that I can get one before the season starts this time around.
I think it's positive to give fans more opportunity to buy kit rather than just the club shop with it's postage being high. Who knows it might bring in some more fans as well if we are successful
A pop-up shop is a temporary retail business that operates in a specific location for a limited period, usually a few days, weeks, or months.
They are often used by online merchants or smaller businesses to test out a retail environment or reach new customers without the long-term commitment of a traditional lease.
Prior to our game at the circus, Mrs GA dragged to Cheshire Oaks outlet on the Friday. Wrexham had a pop up shop there selling shirts from a trailer box. I was expecting a big tent. 🎪
