Was a rumour it was a done deal and then Roman's Chelski blew us out the water. Given what he went on to do , probably a lucky escape we didn't pay £5m for him3 -

The sad thing is I think Kezman ended up being overwhelmed by the expectations at Chelsea and was behind Gudjohnsen and Drogba from the moment he joined. I think he would have been much better off signing for a smaller team where he played and had time to settle. He'd scored 105 goals in 122 league games for PSV but he never quite got his rhythm back after his confidence died at Chelsea.
