I’m not sure that is a good bargaining position - surely if we move from the valley that gives RD the green light to sell the valley to a developer ? Planning permission won’t be granted all the time r we are using the groundfenlandaddick said:
Has to be coy really. Even if they didn't want to move the threat of moving is something to bargain with RD I assume.robroy said:Jordan said we need a ten year lease if we go up, we dont currently have that.

Well, they can hardly say name your price you've got us over a barrell with our pants down. Although who knows?0 -

Heard Lincolnshire has been talked about.Lincsaddick said:moving from the Valley would cost many millions as, at present, a sale of the Valley is not available to finance any move. If we eventually buy back the Valley, what is the point of moving unless we get into the Premier ? and then, move to where ?
Grimsby Town wouldn't allow it

Does Rodwell line manage the football side ? Slightly confusing managerial structure .0

I thought that Jordan was unusually quiet. I take that as a positive.5

He probably is still looking after that side FOR NOW, with our new Dane due to take over once all the approval and paperwork goes through. Hopefully once that happens there will be a bit of clarity about who exactly does what.Does Rodwell line manage the football side ? Slightly confusing managerial structure .1 -
Drinking game: have a shot every time Rodwell says ‘the football club’1

Still couldn't help himself at the start though could he.Kips said:I thought that Jordan was unusually quiet. I take that as a positive.1 -
The lease expires in January 2035, but the ten year security of tenure rule only applies to clubs joining the EFL AFAIK.

The new TV deal will slowly kill season ticket sales. It's all by design by the Premier League big boys, short term gain for football league clubs with the money, but not long term.0

It’s a good job every Premier League game isn’t on TV.J BLOCK said:The new TV deal will slowly kill season ticket sales. It's all by design by the Premier League big boys, short term gain for football league clubs with the money, but not long term.

Every one on a Sunday will be now, which is a good thing as I'd often rather watch one of the other 2pm kick offsThe Red Robin said:

I exclude the international Addicks in that and the following comment, but the lack of commitment of some really irritates me.
We all know the effect of a packed Valley on the team/opposition and what a great atmosphere we create. Support your club, like the current 10,000 of us.
ST holder since 74/75 come rain or shine.
I have been all over the country supporting the club since my first visit in 1968 aged 8.
I was a season ticket holder for many, many years.
I go to as many games as I can get to. So does my son who goes because of me. I just don't have a season ticket. I stopped when I nearly lost my home due to the extraordinary financial burden I had to bring my children up. My son has significant disabilities. He now lives independently and goes to games himself now.
We are not all the same.

No chance I will get a season ticket. Cost, travel, time, ko times being changed, family commitments. Some of us have a busy life away from Charlton.bolloxbolder said:

Was a season ticket holder for years and rarely missed any home game and got to a good few always. In 2020 I moved from Shooters Hill to West Yorkshire so home games for me are sadly a rarity. Glad to say there are now quite a few northern games I’ll be able to get to. Miss it hugely.5

[wanky preamble]
JW: Listen, what did it mean to you, to get up that day at Wembley? - and it is the Championship for you - one thing I was amazed with was the support was unbelievable
JR: Yeah, we sold 41,000, we had about another 9000 waiting. It was a shame we couldn't sell those tickets, it's just the way the segregation works, at Wembley. But they were fantastic, they were there in 2019, and people who were there both times say that, the most recent promotion felt a little bit sweeter than 2019 because there's a good buzz around the football club at the moment. Odd day, to be honest with you.
JW: Odd day?
JR: Not particularly enjoyable and you think you're gonna have this wave of euphoria when the final whistle blows. And, you know what, I was sat next to my daughter watching the game, and, if I had a Tardis, I would've just gone home at that point. I was exhausted with the whole thing, I was done. It was a sense of relief - don't get me wrong I did my best to put on a brave face and party afterwards but it was quite a bizzare day to be honest with you
JW: Did you go through every emotion, Simon, when you were in the play-offs at Palace?
SJ:Well it's relief, isn't it. We were going theough the playoffs to get to the Premier League, so, it opens a whole set of doors. Goign from L1 to the Championship presents you with many challenges, because whilst it's the league yuo want to get into because it's one step away from the league you want to ultimately be into, you know it comes with a little bit more revenue, but a lot mroe challenges. And it's one thing being top of the league and another thing going into a league where you know there's a lot of clubs in there that have dropped out of the PL and have huge PL money, there's a lot of clubs in there that've got very wealthy owners, but you don't have the revenue. You get maybe 5 6 7m more, tops, for going into that League. And all of a sudden you're competing with teams that've got 60m 70m 80m 90m pound wage bills.
JW: How are you finding it this early, Jim, you know, you try and do deals in the transfer market, you're trying to bring in players - is it tough?
JR: Simon's absolutely right about that, I think the thing
Ok I'm bored now6 -

Similar to myself. Season ticket holder, most away games from 92-2015 when I moved up to West Yorkshire from Woolwich. Probably only get to 2-3 home games a year but a fair few away games still. If anyone thinks that makes me any less of a fan they can do one.3 -
