I agree with the opening of a 'Just giving page' 🤥 to raise funds for the buying of the Valley and Sparrows as the days of walking round with buckets for 'Ronnie Moore'* must be behind Cafc as we bolding go where Charlton haven't been before into being a well run club.
Possibly Richard Murray part 1 of tenure with Peter Varney was the only time before.
May be best to strengthen our team first and get the landlord to put locks on all the bogs.

I am a past ST holder but cannot get home from Tuesday night matches, guy I go with is in the same boat. I used to have an option of staying in the old family home but that has now gone. An ST will only become feasible in the Premiership with fewer evening games. But we were part of the 41k, along with a dozen from Basingstoke or further afield.0

I exclude the international Addicks in that and the following comment, but the lack of commitment of some really irritates me.
We all know the effect of a packed Valley on the team/opposition and what a great atmosphere we create. Support your club, like the current 10,000 of us.
ST holder since 74/75 come rain or shine.10 -
I don’t have a season ticket, but I’ve been a fan for 30 years of my life. I have 3 kids, a full time job and a house that needs renovating. I get there when I can but I have other priorities too. I hope that doesn’t make me a glory boy or a hanger on50

I also know of a couple of mates who won't get a season ticket because their kids play football on a Saturday morning and they wouldn't make any home games that are moved to 12.30.
So i'd imagine for a lot of people with kids, it's probably easier to just wait and see when the games are scheduled for and then pay on the day for games they can make. If you're going to potentially miss 4-5 games then a ST isn't worth it.3 -

I have four season tickets but there were 10 of us at Wembley wife and two daughters who have work and child commitments on Saturday two other grandchildren children (one of whom I may have to buy an additional season ticket for now) and a nephew who works some Saturdays but attends matches when ever he can and I am sure that there were very many at Wembley with a similar situation doesn’t diminish their support but explains why we will have 10-11,000 season tickets. To me Wembley just illustrated the potential of the club and hopefully we are now in a better position to realise it.7

Rodwell sounds like somebody who knows how to manage "up". His CV is reasonable.

I think it's fair to say that lots of people who had season tickets now only buy tickets for when they can attend since the EFL agreed to Sky switching days and kick off times.3

Shift worker who lives 90 mins from the valley (if the trains actually run) and does the school pick up with a 6 year old when I'm not working lates. If those circumstances make me a shit fan then stick it up your arse, sick and tired of fans having a go at others.

Bottom line is each to their own
Lets firstly take the Possitive
Wembley showed what a large fan base we have
Secondly the club is on the up and I’m sure that will be reflected in increased crowds at the Valley next season
i think it’s totally understandable that some will have to pick and choose their games due to their own circumstances and also because of the shitty EFL deal meaning so much fixture disruption
Lets enjoy the season when it starts and

Grimsby Town wouldn't allow it0
