10 Second penalty, pathetic2
-
WOW... thats ridiculous... You know Max is just going to be his petulant self during the Interview and suggest the world is against him2
-
Or he'll threaten to leave the sport again like his usual nonsense when he doesn't get his way.ForeverAddickted said:WOW... thats ridiculous... You know Max is just going to be his petulant self during the Interview and suggest the world is against him2 -
That would be a black flag in any other form of motorsport. Disgraceful decision. He’s a genius driver but growing up with his twat of a dad has broken him from a human perspective. Probably the worst ‘sportsman’ out of all the main competitors in their respective fields in world sport7
-
Good riddance if he does. Real shame as he’s a fantastic driver and doesn’t need to be such a wankerMarcusH26 said:

That was like a throwback to the teenaged Verstappen.Stitching himself up by allowing the red mist to affect him.
Bad management from Redbull telling him to let Russell through, but Verstappen was still a petulant twat who thinks everyone else is always to blame, but never him.2 -
Notice that Bearman got a ten second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage during his battle with Lawson
Stewarding has been stupid today, as Lawson dive bombed Bearman slightly earlier and got nothing for that, simply because Liam didnt gain a position - Bearman didnt return the position at the time, but still got passed within the next lap0 -
Remember as well that Russell got a drive thru penalty for overtaking Albon off track in Monaco last week, and didnt give the position up...0

Lando watching the Max incident in the cool down room.
”I’ve done that before…………”
”In Mario Kart”.

I think Verstappen will get a DSQ and points on his licence. It was blatent.0

Don't see how they'll DSQ him now, seeing they've handed out a penalty for the decision - He'll definitely get penalty points thoughCafcWest said:I think Verstappen will get a DSQ and points on his licence. It was blatent.0 -
My son does that in a British Championship kart race and I am marching him home as soon as he gets into Parc Ferme. And waiting for the race ban to come through in the post.
There is no way that can be an example to the next generation.4 -
I hope Horner doesn't come out with his usual smarmy bullshit about how nothing is ever Max's fault.6
-
I'd love to know why Red Bull felt that they should have conceded the position to RussellMarcusH26 said:I hope Horner doesn't come out with his usual smarmy bullshit about how nothing is ever Max's fault.0 -
Putting all that aside, Naomi Schiff is frickin gorgeous1

Remarkably measured interview from George.2

I thought it might be you that mentioned that.DaveMehmet said:Putting all that aside, Naomi Schiff is frickin gorgeous1 -
Ask some actual direct questions rather than rambling at him ffs.0

Meanwhile Max with a "Does it matter" reply when asked if he intentionally crashed into Russell... Whilst the SKY interviewer ended with a brilliant comment saying we see how good he is (with his move at Imola), he doesnt need to do shit like that.
And of course he shrugs it off like he couldnt give a shit... Because he thinks he can do whatever he wants - He needs to be asked how he'd feel if someone deliberately did that to him, because we all know how he'd react to it.

Max utterly pathetic in the post race interview. Guy has totally lost it. He’s a danger to the other drivers3
-
Lando on the other hand was f**king hilarious - He's like the kid in the playground who is friends with two people who don't like each other, and enjoys winding them both up about it.6

lol! the FIA have given Max three penalty points, puts him on 11 now, so he needs just the one more (?) to earn a penalty... They've also rubbed salt into the wound by saying in their notes that he didnt need to give the position back to Russell, so was a proper Red Bull f**k up2
-
Well Horner was linked with Ferrari this week and maybe their total abject shiteness on the pitwall has rubbed offForeverAddickted said:lol! the FIA have given Max three penalty points, puts him on 11 now, so he needs just the one more (?) to earn a penalty... Was it Horner that was the one on the radio telling Max "well it's the rules" when he asked why he had to give the place back to Russell?0

Or in other words, a harsher penalty than Verstappen got for deliberately ramming another car.ForeverAddickted said:Remember as well that Russell got a drive thru penalty for overtaking Albon off track in Monaco last week, and didnt give the position up...I kind of wonder if Red Bull made the right call even pitting Verstappen onto the hards. His softs weren’t that old and no one else was putting on brand new tyres, so why not take first place track position and hope to hang it out and defend?0 -
He's always been a danger to other drivers, it's only the fact he's been out in front the last few years that's stopped him ramming opponents on a weekly basisDamoNorthStand said:Max utterly pathetic in the post race interview. Guy has totally lost it. He’s a danger to the other drivers2 -
I think that's pretty irrelevant here actually. At Monaco they acknowledged that the penalty was much harsher than normal because Russell outwardly said on the radio he'll "take the penalty" and as it was a flagrant disregard for the rules and it was unsportsmanlike to do so, they gave him the one thing in Monaco that fucks you, a drive-thru penalty instead.Exiled_Addick said:

Regarding Max, a 10 second penalty so soon after a safety car is a bigger than normal penalty, it dropped him to 10th, whereas if it happened without the safety car happening a 10 second penalty might have only dropped him one place back. The more relevant bit is the 3 points on his licence as it means he's now just 1 point away from missing a race. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he gets an additional fine too.2 -
Agree with pretty much everything said about Verstappen above, but haven’t seen if anyone here or on TV made any reference to what happened just before his ramming of Russell.
When he snapped the back end of the car out of that corner before he was on the team radio screaming he’d been “****** rammed” by LeClerc…who was nowhere near him. I didn’t hear Red Bull try to correct him and point out it was his own car that pinged and no one touched him. Just felt that this brought his red mist crashing down and led to the Russell incident.
