Apologies for the sloppiness, I started very early that day and the loss of voice. But what a day.

    :)
Your best one of the season. I’m looking forward to next seasons vlogs!

    We only had 37.5 possession
It's often the case of what you do out of possession that wins you games, and that's what happened today, great all round performance, and big shout out for the defence today, but huge CHEERS for Macca and that stunning free kick...
We're a better team out of possession.
With the exception of the beginning of the second half when Orient went close a couple of times, our back line (screened by Coventry and Docherty) was very comfortable. Never panicked, held positions, and allowed Orient to try and force a chance, which led to most opportunities being wasted.

A very well drilled unit that has been the base of our success this season.

Watched it yesterday, good work @Braziliance - a question I always have for vloggers at games - do you actually properly watch the game or are you always semi-distracted/conscious of your camera etc?

When I joined in line for the train at Wembley Park station today there must've been 40,000 fans waiting - to which I estimate I was 38,750th in the queue.

Anyway, I overheard a bloke say that he was at the Full members cup final in 1987.  He gave some facts out to his family that Charlton only took about 12,000 to that event - of the total 40,000 in attendance V Blackburn Rovers.

It's not my style to butt in and I didn't.  But I desperately wanted to show him this photo of my cousin, my son (now 46) my Dad and my Uncle Harry.  Dad and Uncle Harry passed many years ago and soberingly (is that a word?) Dad was quite a bit younger than I am today.

The thing is it ain't just football is it?  It's family.

P.S.  My Grandaughter (9) (daughter of son pictured) is a new season ticket holder next year.

It's what I was saying when people were boycotting or talking of stopping supporting altogether.
It's where you're closest with your family and make life long friends.
It's much much more than about football to me.
Even if Sunday goes into the top ten days of my life.

I'm at such a loss to know what to do with myself now. Usually i'm grateful for a summer away from the Charlton dross. Feels weird for wishing the summer away for next season to start.

I spoke to an orient supporter who said the overwhelming feeling in the stadium was how much louder charlton were than orient even from the orient end.The priblem was so many people who were in the orient end were not really orient fans .he said some left at half time and some left 20 mins from end cos they were "bored"

No international football either to while away the days. Going to spend so much time refreshing this website I suspect

Our box was on the side where the Orient fans were and Charlton were much louder. Hardly heard the Orient fans all game. We also noticed how many fans left before the final whistle.

Love how the club are slowly drip-feeding all this content.  They know we're all still on a high

This team really enjoy the songs, I've not sure I've ever seen a Charlton group who sing along with the player songs so much!

Josh Edwards is a great character and has embraced Charlton from the start despite the late tackle from Clare which put him out for a while.
Yes, they both seemed to look pleased that it was Orient, and def  time for Josh to pay them back for that disgusting tackle from Clare...

The worst thing is that as we are a few days since the game now, you have to work a bit harder to recall the moments in your mind and the memories.  The more I see the clips of the goal and celebrations on social media, the more that takes over the mind’s memories

It’s like with 2019, I have a distinct memory of the moments after we scored the winner, but I cannot put myself back into the moment we scored the goal.  All the subsequent footage has implanted in my mind

as for 98, that’s all tv footage.  I was 16 however

Priceless, "Fuckin' didn't in November" what a character Nathan is...
Maybe Nathan hasn’t got to the bit about forgiveness in his Bible studies yet.

Who incidentally had a shocker in the final. Looked like he was still playing for us with all the misplaced passes to red shirts.

I had a little concern on how the team would cope with Wembley. NJ and the coaching team prepared them perfectly though, they rose to the occasion and rather than being affected negatively to the huge crowd I think we drove them on.
I've no concerns over next year. I think we will comfortably end mid table or above.
  • I came downstairs this morning and my youngest was watching the playoff campaign highlights on YouTube. Why does a silly thing like football get us so emotional?!
The best start to the day.

Think I may head to Blue Water tomorrow to see if I can meet some of our Wembley heroes!!!
You'll need to go further than that - they have a team holiday planned
Can you imagine if we had lost and being on holiday with Nathan, more like a boot camp than a holiday.
