Not sure why they only called a VSC rather than a full SC

They've killed the race with that decision

Only a full SC can save this one from being a procession now.

What's going on with Kimi? Going backwards on the mediums

Also suddenly the Ferraris are looking incredibly racy midway through this race

What’s the difference to the earlier VSC? It’s just as dangerous

Leclerc staying on his hards, Hamilton pits for fresh boots, will be interesting to see how fast he is on those compared to the other front runners.

Further up the straight, further away from the gap in the barrier and cars will be going that much quicker in that area as it's an acceleration zone

That makes more sense, putting it that way

FFS more luck for Verstappen. Get racing - takes too long to get the safety car back in.

No idea why they told Leclerc to give that position back, if you want to go around the outside and you run out of road, that's your problem

My best guess is because the Ferrari pitwall can't find their ass with both hands, even when both hands are on their ass. Fucking useless and at least one glaring error per grand prix, normally 2 or 3

The Charles Leclerc radio compilation is going to be absolute gold to listen back to. Seems like he's in constant disagreement with Bryan for the entire race.

Notice how he manages to do it without being a total cockhead though? A few other drivers could stand to learn from that.

Seemed he had the beating of the McLaren boys anyway, and fair play for a brilliant first corner overtake, but Verstappen continues be the luckiest driver alive when it comes to safety cars.

I agree with this. Some drivers more than others - we could easily point to Hamilton, but he has at least earned the right to be snarky by being one of the best on the grid for years.
The driver who really gets my goat with this is Alex Albon. He talks to his team and about the team in general like he’s God’s Gift and they’re shit on his shoe. Hate to break it to you Alex - you’re a decent driver, but you ain’t all that.

Yeah he manages to keep it respectful whilst also make it clear he's very very unimpressed with them. Would imagine their debriefs are interesting.

The stewards were investigating and I guess they thought it was safer to just give 1 place up rather than risk losing several with a 5-second penalty. They either had no faith that Charles was in the right or no faith that the stewards would see it that way.

Either that or just Ferrari being Ferrari.

Ferrari looking rapid in Monaco. Tonnes of mechanical grip in that car.... unfortunately they can never access it on a normal circuit due to the compromises they have to make elsewhere.

Helps that Leclerc always seems to go well in his hometown

His weekend cant get any worse, after he locked up into a run off, and then went into the back of Lance Stroll who was on his Sunday jollies at the start of Free Practice One - I fully expected him to just get out of the car and head home after that start
