Hmmm, call me churlish but that seems on odd thing to post on the forum of a club whose only major silverware was 78 years ago.
Shakes head at the disrespect to the title winning teams of the last 25 odd years
I just did a bit of googling to check that my definition of major trophy isn't out of step with current thinking: "any European trophy (except the Intertoto), a domestic top-flight league or established domestic cup (FA and League Cup, but not Community Shield, Full Members Cup, etc)". So no, whilst Charlton's various teams have won lots of silverware over the years, absolutely none of it is what would normally be considered 'major'. No disrespect at all here, I always want Charlton to win and am very pleased when we do. It's just that taking the piss out of teams that have won far more than we ever have seems a tad daft to me.

Errrm what?
We won the FA Cup in 2005. I remember listening to it on the radio. Well, one of the two FA Cups...

We have won the FA Cup, defined in your post as an established domestic cup and ergo a major trophy. Yet you said absolutely nothing we've won would be considered major, which seems contradictory. And you must have forgotten all about the Guinness Soccer Six

Yeah, fair play. Although I never said it specifically, I meant within the timespan Mr One Lung was talking about, 'Last 25 years odd'. And yes I had forgotten the Guinness Soccer Six although I was excited at the time. 😁
A little girl was usually driven to school by her grandad but one day he was ill so her grandma took her instead. That evening her parents asked her how the journey was. “It was very different”, she said. “How's that”, they asked. “Well”, she said, “during the whole journey we didn't see a single tosser, blind idiot, stupid bastard or wanker”.
Not so much a joke, more it raises the question of how did we lose a war to this lot?
Has to be satire, surely? Someone sending up the tendency of people who describe themselves as Christians following Trump despite him contradicting everything the Bible tells people to do? It's a reference to the Bible text about people resorting to worshipping a statue while they were wandering in the desert after leaving Egypt. (This didn't end well for them, but it's assumed that most of these "evangelicals" haven't read enough of the Bible to know that.)

I’m not sure Americans do satire. Alanis Morissette (US citizen since 2005) can’t even do irony.

I don’t know. She did a couple of my shirts very well when I stayed over

Was it:
A. Norwich?
B. York?
C. Durham?
It had its prose and cons.
That’ll be 50 sheep then.
Yes, it’s true. Absinthe makes the farts go “Honda”.
she replied ‘ It’s been 7 Owls and 15 Jays’
We shouldn’t have scattered her ashes on such a windy day.
