Went to ebbsfleet yesterday. No wonder they went down defending was hapless..  But to be fair they kept plugging away and only desperate defending and the woodwork saved a comeback. Hope Maidenhead join us.

If Wanderers don't go up you've got a guaranteed 6 points in the bag next season!

Be interesting to see how they deal with big crowds at Horsham, will probably need another stand adding. The Park and Ride opposite will be rammed too.

what is the point in having a park and ride opposite?
Isn't it meant to be away from the ground ?

The Park and Ride was built waaaay before the ground and meant to mainly for the town centre but because the ground is up a really narrow lane with parking only really available for players and officials  they cut a deal with the council to use the park and ride as parking for the ground too. But I would imagine with NLS sides that travel in way bigger numbers there will be some logistical issues for them to sort out.

Crazy thing is where they built the club house - they'd need to knock it down to build a stand behind the goal! If I remember correctly they can't play music on match days either, but I can't remember why. I assume it's a residents' thing.

Yeah there's some posh houses behind the ground by the golf course that are by all accounts an absolute nightmare with floodlights and music complaints.

I don't really know where they could expand, it's properly hemmed in.

Yup, down to 10 men so under the cosh.

Brave fight but not to be this time.

Charles Clayden playing for BW plus a B'Ham loanee.....

Oh well, another battle with Ebbsfleet next season.
  • Haven't seen the game but looking at the scorers the Boreham Wood player scoring 2 owns goals for Dorking nets the 96th minute winner for Boreham Wood. Must have been scenes at the end!

Just got home. That was unlike any other game I have witnessed. The fans were horrific behind the dug out, some chavy bloke shouting abuse with the help of his two 7/8 year old boys for a solid hour. Their players celebrating in our faces and nearly causing a punch up in the dug out. I spent much of the last 15 minutes in the dressing room with Jimmy, the player who got red carded. We were listening to the goals go in. When it went 3-1 to us we were going nuts in there. It was such a high - the relief that he hadn't cost his team the game. And then it all fell apart. Not even because of the ten men - they just can't seem to see games out. Can't defend set plays.

If DW keep the squad together, I think they will win it next year. Even with all the issues they had this time out - and there are absolutely tons of them - they were 3 points off the title. Only lost once in the last 19 games before tonight. They played Boreham off the park until the red card, it was men v boys. I think Torquay will walk it on Saturday.

Think you know how Ebbsfleet feel when similar happened to them in the play off final a few years back.

Seems pretty crazy (to me anyway) that after a long 46 game season, there's such a quick turnaround to the play offs.

Didn't Boreham Wood get a load of flak for having a ridiculous media policy a couple of years back? Think it was Southend or someone they wouldn't let any of their media team in.

NLS absolutely mental this year. 86 points would've got you through to the playoff semi-final with home advantage any other year. Didn't even get the quarter final at home this year.

Off to see Billericay Vs Dover tonight. One of the Dover centre backs coaches my boys U11s team, so we're taking all the boys over there to support him (and Dover), should be a good match

Boreham Wood are a f*****g horrible club. Most unfriendly non-league ground I've visited. Hope Torquay wipe the floor with them.

Sounds like it was the ONLY classy thing at BW last night .

REALLY hope they get a tonking at the seaside on Saturday.

" The other Charlton Clive" who supports Torquay will be getting excited....

Except for the DW quote from their manager that they will piss the NLS.

May have something to do with FA Trophy? Or just that the FA want to go on holiday

They charge about £100 for opposition media to get in. I have paid them twice in the last month to access. I don't mind it so much if we're then given the access we require, but a jobsworth made life difficult for a bit last night. But something tells me they'll be keen to see the footage now! Maybe I should charge them £100 to watch it.

True of the previous regime, but the new guys seem cool.
