The problem with these types of conspiracy theories is that they ignore one of the most fundamental human impulses; to talk.
If Diana or any of the other people you refer to had been assassinated in some underhanded conspiracy which was then successfully covered up then a multitude of people would need to be involved and almost none of them could be trusted to keep quiet for the remainder of their lives, it’s just human nature.
Conspiracy theories like this are exciting, but completely flawed. Make believe should be a thing we get past after childhood.
