I'd love to know the scouting process here , it's obvious he wasn't the number 1 target as that seemed to be Theo Bair from Motherwell but we got outbid there by Auxerre. I just don't see what he really offers , isn't especially great in the air even if most of his goals for Cambridge were headers we've only seen it at the wrong end.
I know Jones has always had physical powerful strikers in his sides but Ahadme just feels like a complete dud.

I don't want to write him off completely but recruitment is always a bit of a lottery. Out of all the signings in the summer only he and Campbell could be seen as bad ones, that's a pretty good hit rate really. On paper I get why we signed him, on the pitch he hasn't lived up to it.
Sounds a bit far fetched but he could be a reasonable centre back as he's good in the air. Wouldn't be the first one to be converted and excel in a different position. Lol

Apart from his defensive positioning and tackling this is a super idea.

Shame we couldn't get Blair. He has got twice as many goals as Ahadme this season... 2.
The reason that Ahadme has not featured is that he is too slow. Modern football even down in league one is that the pace is intense. He cannot close down quickly enough, he can't be a channel runner and he can't chase flickons through the centre. He might have a decent touch, an eye for goal in the box, but without pace he will never feature in a Jones team.

Jones has shown that he actively improves players. Considering those early season performances, some of the transformations have been nothing short of miraculous.
It’s not completely crazy to imagine that we see more from Ahadme at some point 🤷♂️

15 in the Scottish Prem 23/24 and 2 in Ligue 1 24/25 (only 11 starts).
I wouldn’t be opposed to signing him this summer if Auxerre aren’t keen…

Is there any actual evidence he's good in the air, don't think I have seen him jump, still at least a quality striker like him will be easy to sell on. Finally Ipswich got their own back on us nicking Darren Bent off them.

The fact that he’s the bottom of the strikers list suggests that the Ahadme project is beyond even NJ. He’s written him off.
He injured again , he ok for a couple of weeks but then he feels the injury again looks like he going to have operation in the summer …. hopefully he can get 45 mins v Burton.
I think he’ll get one more go at it in the upcoming pre season but if he doesn’t impress NJ, can see him out the door to a previous club of his, maybe Burton.
On paper, he’s the prototype Nathan Jones striker. Unfortunately, after we’ve signed him, it turns out he wasn’t offering much goal threat, and his treacle running style makes him useless at the pressing side of things too.
When we signed him I raised doubts about because of his long term injury at that time. Why do we sign such players, we should not go any where near injury prone players, it wastes our limited budgets.
In terms of Ahadme. When I saw him in pre-season my thoughts were I have seen this sort of player before. Technically not bad, typically foriegn lower league striker who jogs through games being tidy but hasn't got that killer streak where he fights and puts himself about. I'm pretty sure I said something to that affect on here.
I haven't seen anything this season to change my mind. Maybe there is something there if we can change the way he plays mentally but that is probably the hardest thing to change. Seeing as we have him on a long contract, we might as well try. Start by turning him into a right bastard on the pitch.

In my World of Honesty, we would know who was the person who decided Ahadme and Kirk were worth giving long contracts too and paying a fee for ?
Just like I want to know who to give the credit to for Ramsey, Lloyd Jones, Small and Edwards ? Plus no one thought 4 months ago but Gillesphey as well !
Recruitment isn't an exact science but Charlie Kirk was always lightweight and did Gassan show speed or skill at Cambridge? Seems unlikely 🤷🏻♂️
Connor Coventry may have been credit to Micky Apples because of the Lincoln loan connection and him and Andy 'beam me up Scotty' did go round for a cuppa with Connor's mum.
I want people to own the good, bad and the ugly signings.

With Leaburn and Chuks out he should be pushing for a start. Can't even make the 16.

Hopefully this is the last poorly scouted expensive signing we attain.

Who did what, when and why ?
